Bring back LaVine

Take on a back contract for future picks. Wonder if Denver still wants to trade Faried's contract? I'd take a protected first round pick for him. Plus I like Red's idea of taking on Bayless contract from Philly for Miami's 2021 first round pick. Maybe take a chance for the Kings pick? It's most likely going to Boston but if lands #1 overall Philly keeps it.

See if Rondo wants to come back.

FA done.

I don't see why we'd do that. We don't need one year contracts to achieve what needs to be achieved in 18-19 -season, which is to see what we actually have now. One year deals would likely be counterproductive.

Bulls could make a decent playoff run an still have cap space for next year. Right now, maybe we make 7th or 8th seed. Add a couple vets on 1 year deals, maybe we finish 5th or 6th make it to the 2nd round.

LaVine then tells GarPax....you gave Felicio 32mil for not even being an NBA player. These dumb contracts could end up haunting us.

Felicio shouldn't even be in the league. He has not improve at all. He needs to be gone. I want Lavine back.

Everyone knows Felicio's contract was and is a mistake - including LaVine and his agent. It would be a terrible argument, something a kid would use.

Why would we even go after Noel if we have Carter, Lopez, Felicio, Lauri and Portis. We are all set for big men.

We're signing LeBron.

Woj knows his stuff but felt like he was talking out of his ass with that statement. This team isn't ready for the big names in free agency. I see them signing maybe one veteran to add to the team, won't be a starter nor cost a lot of $$$$

You wait until the LeBron shoe drops and be ready to pounce for asset collection. Hopefully he goes to LA and makes it chaotic, we can offer CAP relief very few teams can.

That "equity" better be there.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Steal Marcus smart, build the team around defense and 3 point shooting use him as the 6th man,

I want to believe that it was a way to get to the cap floor or something. But I truly believe that GarPax thought it was a great idea. :banghead:

People are really overstating the impact of that Felicio contract, it's 8 million a year.

Hardly the albatross contract people try to make it out to be.

Still a flat out bad contract for a guy who’s at best a fringe nba player.

8 million a year for a D league level player is pretty, pretty bad though. On top of the fact that since were paying him this, he’s forced to stay on the team and play... instead of keeping a guy like Vonleh who is better and would likely come cheaper.

So if we bring back Lavine.... but do not resign or bring back any of Zipser, nwaba, vonleh or kilpatrick.. we would have 2 roster spots.

I think we would need another wing player.

They could go with a young wing route: such as Rodney hood or Jabari Parker.

Or they could go veteran route? Maybe Rudy gay or joe Johnson. Just as a backup to mentor huchison.

For the other spot, I’d say sign a veteran point guard. Who, I don’t know. I’d say someone like Rondo, rose or Tony Parker. But they would all want too many minutes.... just a veteran to be a third stringer. Maybe someone like Raymond Felton?

It's a bad contract yes but people are acting as if we've given him the max.

I'd take Felicio at 8 million a year for 3 more years over some of the other garbage contracts in the league.

I wouldn't mind taking a flier on Exum or Hezonja.

I agree Exum, Lavine would be great players. Time to replace Grant dribbling into a corner and creating a turnover.

I still believe Noel can be a special defensive player. For a cheap 2 year contract what's the worst that happen? If he does pan out your leverage on Bobby Portis has increased. Plus Felicio, Lopez are essentially gone at this point.
