Not even sure how it works out financially but if it's reasonable I'd love to see that deal done.

That was one of my trades. The financials work for both teams, in fact the money is really close with us saving like 1.5 million this year and saving 11.5 million next year

This team is going to trade for Kawhi Leonard. Last year the Thunder got Paul George with an offer of a former #2 pick and a skilled big man on a rookie contract. We can offer the Spurs the exact same deal with MKG and Kaminsky.

That would be amazing. Not holding my breath, but I would be all in on that trade.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Oladipo was a legit prospect at the time. I think the price would be Monk + Kaminsky, assuming the Spurs really like both players.

Oladipo disappointed in OKC, they weren't that sad to see him go. No one expected him to blow up like he did last year. The Spurs made Kawhi what he is. He used to be the exact same player MKG is now. If anyone can rejuvenate his career it's the Spurs. They also need frontcourt players, they have no need for Monk with Murray and Lonnie Walker on the roster.

Dipo has always been better than MKG. and Sabonis is a better player than Frank too. And Leonard wasn't the same player MKG is, Leonard shot 30% in college but has shot at least 37% from three in all but 1 season (not counting the 9 games this season). he is a legitimate MVP candidate if healthy.

There is a less than zero chance we get Leonard if our best offer is MKG and Frank. Saying we're going to get Leonard because of the Paul George trade is naive.

RC Buford would laugh hangup the phone and never deal with us again if we offered MKG and Frank for Kawhi. If Rudy Gay wasnt a free agent id be surprised if they accepted that for him.

I don't think the Hornets will get Leonard ... but much more so than PG13, Kawhi's camp is making statements that lower trade value. They are outright telling folks publicly he's only going to sign in LA. PG13 indicated that he wasn't going to resign in Indiana, and rumors were that he would go to LA this summer, but that was never based off stuff he or his family said in the same way Leonard has.

Anyway long winded way of saying that Kawhai is far more of a risk flight wise to east coast teams than PG13 was to OKC. If the Spurs insist on trading him east they are going to limit the value they get back IMHO.

I kind of wish we would see trades with picks or protection based on if the player resigns with the team or not.

Leonard has never been the same player as MKG. Even when Kawhi was just a young role player, the skill gap was extremely large.

So here is a different kind of trade. Phoenix is looking for a "stretch 4" and the Bucks are looking to get out of Delly's contract.

Charlotte out: Marv
Charlotte in: Delly

Phoenix out: Dudley
Phoenix in: Marv

Bucks out: Delly
Bucks in: Dudley

Dudley played in Milwaukee before so they know exactly what they get from him and has an expiring contract. He lets the team shed Delly's money a year early and adds a 'break glass in case of emergency 3 point shooting needed' option on a team that could use more shooting.

Phoenix gets their stretch 4 at a minimal cost. Dudley has been good for them, but they don't need his leadership this year in the same way.

Charlotte trades a great vet to free up playing time for younger guys and get Kemba a high energy backup ... who has hopefully healed up a bit more this year. Trade also reduces this year's salary by $3.6 mil and has a similar savings over Marv in the summer of 2019.

Would rather just take Dudley and a couple 2nds than get Delly. If Delly was an expiring then yeah, but we need to trade Marv or MKG for cap room to resign Kemba next offseason.

No comments on this? Batum is a better fit for Minnesota and they get a future protected first. Spurs get a very similar package for Kawhi that Indiana got for PG. We get Kawhi.

We could send Marvin and MKG instead of Batum if Minnesota would rather have them.

How much do you guys love/hate this?

https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/7076808

CHA out Williams and Kaminsky
CHA in Dudley, Bender, Daniels

PHO out Dudley, Bender, Daniels
PHO in Burks and Jerebko

UTA out Burks and Jerebko
UTA in Williams and Kaminsky

This trade takes care of the team's financial issues. Bender is a younger Kaminsky that isn't yet producing at his level, but it likely won't take him long to get there. This also opens up potential playing time for Willy Hernangomez, who I think is ready for a consistent role right now. And bringing Daniels back to Charlotte makes up somewhat for losing the shooting of Marvin/Frank.

Phoenix has a log-jam at the 3/4 positions and this helps solve that. They create playing time for Mikal Bridges and Marquese Chriss while swapping a better fitting expiring by taking on Burks for Dudley.

The Jazz insure themselves against losing Favors and strengthen their frontcourt spacing to create more room for Mitchell to attack the basket.

Kemba/Monk/Graham
Lamb/Bacon/Daniels
Batum/MKG
Bridges/Bender/Dudley
Zeller/Willy/Mozgov

Bledsoe has an ending contract if he's more likely to be a trade target.

Bucks also need to shed some cap though. Don't think we'd take on Williams or MKG's contract without incentive.

Gauging interest in Kemba LA and there is some people on board. Trade ideas if Ingram off limits?

If trading Ingram is off-limits, then trading Kemba to the Lakers is offlimits. Case closed.
