Probably easier said than done. But I guess he's only owed $14M over the next two seasons - it's not terri-bad, even if it's overpaid by $2M per season at least. Length of the deal is now sane as well for any acquiring team so maybe there is a basketball deal to be made here. Will need a 2-3 yr equal contract coming back though.

In the very least will have to wait until after free agency period to allow the dust to settle for all other teams to spend their money and see they still have a need for a guard and a redundancy at a 3/4 sorta deal.

Khryi will be a very successful player in the league if he can consistently hit 3pters. He gets good elevation, just a bit of a slow release. He didn't run the PnR well at all for Creighton but he doesn't suffer from tunnel vision. He knows how to play. Coach Mac encourages offball movement like no other coach I've seen in the NCAA, and as such Khyri knows how to read the floor very well and find seams. Another unspoken quality to his game is stamina. Dude gave 100% on every possession (offense and defense) and would oftentimes steal the ball and rise up for dunks late in the second half, when everyone else was gassed.

Last thing I'll say is that I don't think he's close to his ceiling. He improved at a meteoric pace from high school to his one year at Fork Union, and improved every season at Creighton. Late bloomer-types usually continue to improve for awhile. His handling and offensive IQ will get better over time. I think he's a great fit for the Pistons and Dwayne Casey, huge value as a second rounder.

I like the Khyri Thomas pick. Good shooter, good defender, solid athlete, wingspan makes up a bit for his height. Should be a good role player for a long time, could be a really solid starter.

the two games that they faced each other during the 2016-17 season, Brown scorched Kennard and Duke. The former Miami guard made 17 of 28 from the floor, three of his five three-point attempts and averaged 4.5 RPG, four APG, two steals and 1.5 blocks.

In the same two games, Kennard averaged 13.5 PPG, shot nine for 28 from the floor, three of nine on three points attempts and averaged 5.5 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.

You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Love these picks considering what I thought we would end up with. I was really high on Brown last year as a two way player and Thomas I never thought we had a shot at.

I will be very pleased if Khyri turns out better than Jerome Robinson

brown is a g leaguer.. everyone seems high on Thomas but when your team is bad it's tough to ever be excited for a pick near the 40s..

I'll wait and see
