That is your big mistake, you don't need to understand the underlying philosophy. It just needs to mean what you want it to for you personally and for your followers.
Do you think Trump has any understanding of the Bible? Yet he has a rabid following among evangelicals.
Do you think Trump understands the constitution? Yet his influence on the judiciary is probably he biggest draw among mainstream Republicans.
Do you think Trump understands the legislative process? Yet Congress is effectively giving him complete support.
