Both guys know they can't make anywhere close to the amount of money the would be making fighting each other, if they fought other guys.

Also, anyone that puts Crawford at number 1 on the pound for pound list based off his performance against Horn needs to calm down. Crawford passes the eye test as far as skills are concerned. He's an elite fighter. However, Horn isn't all that good. Everyone knows he lost to a washed up Pacquiao. He should never have been in a position to fight Crawford to begin with.

Agreed, but those two and then talks with Wilder and Joshua are progressing. Thank goodness.

Hearn called in the favor to the WBA, now they're saying sign to fight Wilder within 24 hours or he has to fight Povetkin or else be stripped.

Yet Keith Thurman can play the flute in a forest for over 1 1/2 year holding up the division, not fighting his mando as as the WBA "super" champ and not be stripped.

True, but Pacquiao couldn't/didn't want to finish the likes of Horn and Vargas.

Either way, it's clear Pacquiao's no pound-for-pound contender anymore and would probably get destroyed by the current welterweight belt holders. Still could be exciting as a gatekeeper though.

Yup. They should just keep matching him up with guys he can beat and look good against. Khan, Broner, etc. Even Loma at a catch weight of 140 would be a good fight for Manny because he has the natural size and power advantage.

The funny thing is that Manny would probably beat Spence and Crawford in his prime. But father time catches up with almost everyone. Sadly this occurred years ago.

I agree. Fan of Spence and Crawford but Manny was a different kind of animal in his prime.

UP BAD. He was winning the fight by a nice margin and just completely let his guard down. Huge win by Eleider Alvarez.

I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank. He was doing okay up until he got hit with that shot. Alvarez was effective using his jab to tag Kovalev.

Kovalev can't blame this loss on Jackson either. He just let his guard down and got hit with a bomb. He was never blessed with great punch resistance.

LOL. The referee, the judges, the commentators...no one was going to let Khan lose that one. The ref just outright, physically interfering with Vargas at points. And after both of the rounds in which Khan got saved by the bell, the ref found reason to delay the start of the next round. Euro boxing is such a shame.

Porter was sloppy, but it worked. Danny Garcia was more accurate and had the cleaner shots, but had trouble at times not sure what to do when Porter closed the gap hard.

Close fight I probably would've scored a draw, but I decided on not wanting to see a rematch long before the fight ended.

I had it a draw as well. That being said Porter put in work and controlled the tempo for the majority of the fight. He was also more active which played into the judges decision making. Not feeling bad for Garcia really right now, he should technically have 4 losses on his resume. It’s about time a close decision went the other way for once.

Yea I had Garcia winning that fight, he was way more efficient with his punches, Porter is too wild and tries to bully his opponents. Porter was more active but I feel like he missed most of his punches and hit air alot . It was a boring fight anyway, I thought it would of been action pact but ehhh. can't wait for the GGG-Alvarez rematch

Tonight is the night. Gennady "GGG" Golovkin vs. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez II. We know the story from a few months ago, saw the fluff yesterday, now its the real deal. I don't see much changing, maybe some tweaks here and there from each fighter. Can see Golovkin attempting to go for the body more often in this one, he didn't do it nearly enough in the first fight and I felt he still won that solidly.

Just don't know if Alvarez is quite on his level, at least offensively. I will say his defense is really good and the punch landed % for Golovkin showed that, so it could be that a year older Golovkin attempts more punches and starts to get fatigued entering the championship rounds. Came away from the first fight thinking that GGG had a bit more of an issue with Jacobs than he did Canelo. It possibly may not change tonight. I think GGG is the better fighter, but Canelo is good enough to keep this thing close, and something tells me that the cards will go Canelo's way in a closer fight.
