You get an idea of who KA is. He is a highly skilled player. He's not going to wow you with speed or strength. He's smart, uses his handle, size, and length to his advantage.

What do you guys think about trading for MKG? For Shumpert for example.

I’m all for something like that, but it’s going to take more than Shumpert.

Not sure since Hornets would love to take player with 1 year left. They would like to unload MKG, Batum and Marvin because of 2+ years contracts. But anyway it shouldn't be a lot more than just Shumpert.

MKG has been a net positive player for most of his his career. They aren’t going to move him for s guy who isn’t very productive at the moment, even if the guy is expiring. I don’t know if we have the right pieces to move for him. They probably ask for Justin Jackson and we decline. It just looks rough.

Hornets were desperate to get out of the tax. Not sure if they are fully out of the woods with that Howard trade but they will be going right back in next summer with Kemba/Batum/Moz/MKG/Zeller/Williams.

I would offer straight cap savings of MKG for 2 2nds. Saves Jordan 13 million for the next 2 years and he picks up some cheap controlled assets.

I think that might be the middle ground. I like that. Maybe that’s why we have been accumulating so many freaking 2nds.

I love MKG's defensive presence. On the other hand, given our starting PG is not a good 3pt shooter and uncertainty of Bagley's performance from NBA range, we would be one of the worst 3pt shooting teams from day 1. Pretty sure Joerger will like the starting five of Fox/Bogdan/MKG/Bagley/WCS though.

That's why I prefer playing Justin Jackson more, rather than MKG. I still believe he's going to have a strong sophomore campaign, especially if we run more.

He's probably the only player in FA I wouldn't mind seeing the Kings take a gamble on after looking at the other options. I'd be OK with them taking a shot at Parker or Gordon but the Kings history with RFA's is what it is.

Fans were peeved about the Kings going big at a time when going big isn't the most fashionable thing to do so I can't see how adding a SF that can't shoot would be at all a good idea. MKG is best as a small ball 4. If the Kings drafted Doncic I'd be interested but not now.

Do you see him as a starter?

How much would you be happy paying him as a rotation player off the bench?

When the best things you can say about a player is that he's athletic and runs the floor that's a bit of a red flag ;)

At this point, post draft, Dallas may be our only serious competition for vet centers and they are looking at Jordan or Cousins. Maybe Atlanta.

Could be us looking at the luxury centers and our only competition those matching RFAs

Capella?

We might have to stretch Shump

Id just like to point out of the players you named KA is the only one the Kings can get without having to give up assets.

I'm okay giving up some assets. We have a log jam in the front court. We need to make a decision on WCS or Skal, one of them needs to go. Truthfully I wouldn't be terribly upset if they are both gone.

I see Fox/Buddy/Bogdan/Bagley as the core with potentially Giles as the lottery ticket... Other than that, I dont really care what we do. JJ/Mason/Skal/WCS these are bench players, if you can move them for a clear starter, go for it.

IMO Kyle starts over JJ. I guess it would depend on Joerger's rotation. Bogi and Buddy both in the starting lineup would be the best starting 5.

KA hasnt shown he's the long term answer as a starter. But if I sign him on giving him a shot.

I don't see us going after a center at all, we already have a logjam in the front court.
