whoa. you aiming to finish? my knees would explode. i jog 5k 2-3 times a week and that's pushing it. training for long distance running seems brutal.
As of now, goal is to finish. Would like under 18 hours. It's an 88K and you have 24 to finish but it's in the White Mountains in VT and a lot of trails and hiking involved. I can get to 17 plus and take occasional walk breaks for maybe 30 seconds or so a mile, hoping to get out for my first 20 this weekend. But last year's winner was like 11ish hours so seems workable. Was out for 16.5 today.
And yeah, its rough on the knees, but the trails should be nice. And its a good reason to take a week in VT.
