Let's hope that pain he had was truly the hardware and he's pain free during this next rehab.

Watching Gordon healthy, surrounded by all this talent is going to be fun to watch. His first bucket in the Garden is going to be electric.

Probably on the road in Cleveland IF Bron is still there. If hes in Philly, on the road. If he goes West, the Cs open at home.

Yes, I think we're all going to need to deal with "the mental thing" right along with Gordon.

Gordon Hayward provided an update on his recovery from a fractured tibia and dislocated ankle suffered on opening night in 2017.

Hayward said he's still on schedule to be ready for the start of next season but dealt with a "complication."

“I recently had surgery to remove the plate and screws that were put in my ankle after I broke it in the opener,” Hayward wrote. “It’s not something we were expecting to be a part of this recovery process, but I’m happy to report that I’ll be back out there resuming rehab soon, with my sights set firmly on being back to my usual self for the start of next season.”

Hayward provided more background on how the decision was made.

“I was also still having some pain on the outside of my ankle, kind of where the peroneal tendon is,” said Hayward. “I had been reporting back daily how I was feeling, and the team that I was working with in Indianapolis—along with the Celtics training staff—had surmised that it could be the hardware they put in during my initial surgery causing some irritation.”

Thinking of making my first trip across the pond for that opener; it's gonna be crazy in the Garden if everyone is healthy

I heard in his workouts he was pretty much jumping at full strength prior to the hardware removal. I wonder if that meant dunking or not. Seems to be a touchy subject
I don't believe in statistics. There are too many factors that can't be measured. You can't measure a ballplayer's heart. -Red Auerbach

That's strictly going to be a mental hurdle to cross. The bone is fully healed due to time alone, but this is best evidenced by the hardware coming out. I wouldn't discredit him if he's hesitant on catching anymore lobs in traffic

Regardless, I'm sure we'll all wince the first time we see him go up. This one will take time for sure.

I hope Brad sort of limits Hayward’s minutes for the regular season, we don’t really need him to be playing heavy minutes with all the talent we have with this roster. He, Al, and Kyrie can take nights off if needed.
