Just want nothing to do with us. Plus we already got a PG. It's SG and C we need help the most in.

if Lebron comes we'd need a P.G. who can work off the ball, in theory, if we can ditch Deng, get Kemba back and not have to give up one of our core pieces, we take that 10/10.

Expect we're not getting Kemba for that. Plus someone will outbid us.

you would think so but if it was an option, we'd do it, i'd be tempted to do the deal with Lonzo also if it was Deng + Lonzo for Kemba and Kemba agreed to stay on a discounted rate.

No way is dumping Deng worth Lonzo with picks just to take back Kemba as much as I like Kemba.

I have a bad feeling we're dumping Deng with Lonzo for something like Chriss so yeah, i'd take Kemba for Lonzo + Deng right about now and then do Kuz/Ingram + Randle in F.A after Lebron and George join.

Charlotte doesn't want Lonzo in fact no one does. Also without a PG Curry will eat us for lunch.

then just keep him, no need to do a stupid salary dump. Keep Lonzo, let him show that he can shoot.

Lakers-Spurs-Atlanta

To Lakers:
Kawhi Leonard
Lonnie Walker

To Spurs:
Brandon Ingram
Josh Hart
Mo Wagner
Isaac Bonga
Sviatoslav Myhkailiuk
Kent Bazemore

To Atlanta:
Luol Deng
2019 First Round Pick (LAL)

To be honest, the Hart-Walker part was unneccesary, i just really like Lonnie Walker.

Anyway, we keep Lonzo and Kuzma but do sacrifice Ingram in this (sadly). We send Deng to Atlanta with them sending Bazemore to the Spurs (who i think they would value more).

Stay the Course there is always next year.

We waited so long for Draft days over the last 4 years at least. The young core should not be sent packing unless it is Julius in a sign and trade.

Lonzo is alot better than people give him credit for. He needs to get his shot down but that is not what he is about.
Kuzuma is a young stud. don't want to trade him.
BI is more of what the future will be also a #2 pick who has the most upside
Hart is solid after only 1 year.

I understand non Lakers fans (haters) actually believing Lonzo is toxic and not a single team would want him. They are allowed that kind of ridiculous delusion but how has this narrative taken hold in Laker fans' mind.

Some make it sound like he does cocaine and his dad beats up women AND on the court Lonzo is like Fultz. I don't get it.

Lonzo for Magic's number 1 next season? Not sure the salaries match up, we have an Elfrid Payton traded player exception I think for around 3 million.

Lonzo earns around 7.5 mil next season, it don't get anywhere close to that 3 mil TPE.

i'm thinking a framework like this can work for all parties:

lakers in: Kawhi Leonard
lakers out: Kyle Kuzma, 2019 1st round pick, (using up cap space)

denver in: 12.0 mil trade exemption, $$ tax savings
denver out: Wilson chandler (expiring), 2019 1st round pick

san antonio in: Kyle Kuzma, Wilson Chandler, LAL 2019 1st, DEN 2019 1st
san antonio out: Kawhi Leonard

this trade provides the most flexibility, but will SA really trade Kawhi for Kuzma and firsts? this would allow LAL to keep Randle, who is probably a good fit for Kawhi and Lebron.

I love this but we should try to just wait for 2019...if we lose out on pg....

I would try to take faried AND Wilson Chandler, .... If they give us: the right to trade first round picks for 2019, if their's is a higher pick, a denver second round in 2019, and porter.

Than trade Deng for melo. Gives them a huge savings this year. We get right for 2019.

options to look out for are teams that can't afford their salary pay outs...

Portland with aminu... taking him out right

Do we like Whiteside for Deng? With his salary being 8 more million a year?

More ideas?

That'd be an excellent take no matter we sign lebron or not. I have always advocate for that.
Faried and Wilson chandler are very useful vets who fit in our system seamlessly notwithstanding a future all-star in Porter
Deng for Melo is a new idea to me as well though I don't know if we still have the cap space after the Faried trade
PG not coming, we still have plenty of options

A dream trade for the Lakers. If Maginka ever executed something like this he's a shoe in for GM of the year despite not getting PG13.

I'd toss in an extra FRP to make it happen tbh. Keeping Ingram is honestly impossible, but this is a clever trade idea.

I mean one has to hope that teams keep lowballing the ever living hell out of SAS so maybe Pop is forced to go down this path.

If there was a way for us to add in salary to also grab one of Pau or Mills it'd only increase the odds of Pop saying yes.

Now to absorb salary

To Lakers:
Kenneth Faried
Micheal Porter Jr

To Nuggets:
Ivica Zubac/Mo Wagner

Probably worth gambling on MPJ, if he turns out then we get another piece

To Lakers:
Ish Smith
Stanley Johnson

To Pistons:
2nd Round Pick
