So, the Lakers big 3 going have to be Kawhi, James, Kemba. Is that good enough to take out the Warriors?

All hypothetical of course. I don't think Magic Johnson is going to trade all his assets unless it's for a sure thing.

There is a lot of manufactured nonsense going around right now. It's being done to make it seem like Paul George and Lebron joining the Lakers was a tough decision for them, but they've both already decided. And Magic Johnson wishes the Spurs would trade Kawhi to him, but that isn't happening. Kawhi is most likely going to be traded to the 76'ers or Knicks.

PG13 just doesn't seem to be about that life. He played in Indiana for a long time and was a star. In LA, he'd be an afterthought. Also, dude seems like a genuinely nice guy and think he sees Melo in a tough situation opting into a 27 mil contract, being worth a fraction of that. So, he stays for 1 more year and sees what can happen.

That's a naive take. It's Los Angeles and he's an all-star that was born and raised there. He'd be the opposite of an afterthought. I also doubt he cares at all about what Carmelo does. The Thunder also have no way to improve their team, there is no future path to contention there anymore.

So, Bron, George, and ???

You really think any player is not an afterthought to Bron? At best, he'd be the Pippen to Bron.

My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu

I agree. LeBron is going to LA and Paul George will join him. The rest is charades. They want Kawhi there but if the Lakers don't pony up (trade Ingram, not Ball), Kawhi will go to the Sixers for one year. The Sixers will probably get him as a rental for Fultz + Miami pick. The wild card is Chris Paul. If CP joins LeBron + George, I'm not sure the Lakers have room for Kawhi.

Figured it out.

LeBron and agent submitted a set of demands to LA

#1 Acquire Kawhi (Lakers got shut down when they dangled Ball. They will deal Ingram)
#2 Agreement in place with Paul George

Grizz after Avery Bradley, "elite perimeter defender". We should use our MLE on him.

Where do the ring chasers go to Golden State or the Lakers? Both? It'd be Great to have a Golden State rotation player defect to the Lakers, Livingston comes to mind.

Paul George just opted out of his OKC player option for whatever that is worth.

No surprise. LeBron + George decided on LA long ago. They recruited Kawhi. Now it's up to Magic to deal Kuzma + Ingram + 1sts.

Will they still have enough dough to keep Randle and KCP?

Ball / Hart / ???
George / KCP / ???
Leonard / LeBron / ???
LeBron / Randle / ???
Zubac / ??? / Randle

There are certainly some question marks like does Zubac even fit today's NBA and the first two questions I asked you.

I read Randall could be used in a sign-and-trade. Also read they haven't signed their first rounder yet because they want to be able to trade him.

Julius should bring back some value if nothing but depth. It will be interesting to see how LAL piece this all together to please Bron.

Stephen A. Smith just reported that he has sources that say LeBron has reached out to Kevin Durant about teaming up on the Lakers!

Think what you will but Durant would at least have to consider it. We know KD is weak minded and willing to ride others coat tails. If he really thought he was better than LeBron (LOL) he would have won titles in OKC and not taken the weak way out! In other words it wouldn't be Durant's first bitch move!

Hahaha, the real bitch move here is LeBron trying to weaken the Warriors because he's worried about the new-look Lakers not having enough juice to reach the Finals out West. He knows even with George + Kawhi, he could fall short. Hell, that team might even get blown out of the water by the Houston Rockets, another team that concerns LeBron, evidenced by LeBron recruiting CP to the Lakers as well. LeBron is scrambling for a fall back plan if the Lakers fail to acquire Kawhi.

LeBron was in two Finals games at the very end with a bunch of low bball IQ nobodies, I doubt he's worried about the Warriors if he gets his crew together. He is smart to play mind games with KD who comes off as kind of slow. You may have a point about the Rockets who would have beaten the Warriors in 6 in the WCF if CP3 hadn't got hurt. It's all about matchups.

Calling me dumb without backing it up... Real mature.

By the way, Mitchell had a 1.1 bpm for the season. Lamb had a 0.9. Mitchell's bpm in the playoffs was 1.3. For anybody watching at home, Lamb's was a 12.8 in 2016.

His teammates are a lot more valuable than some here like to give credit for.

Let's stop fantasizing about other team players and recognize some of our own..

Ridiculous arguments and posts like this are a big reason I stopped being active on the board. Denying Mitchell is a great player is absurd.

I recently came to the conclusion that Durant going to the Warriors had nothing to do with him thinking he couldn't beat them. I think he and Russ proved they were capable of beating them when they managed to get a 3-1 lead against them in the WCF. I think he joined the Warriors because he knew it was the only way he was beating Lebron.

A great player? No. Did he have a great year? Yes, compared to the other rookies. I have a right to my opinion and I've provide stats to back up my case. Calling an argument ridiculous because you don't agree is what's ridiculous.
