We don't need Kanter mentoring Mitchell R. on how to save himself for offense by disregarding defense.

The Knicks need to hire a special coach just for him. Hakeem, Kareem or even "The Big Fundamental" Tim Duncan. They could teach him things on and off the court. I believe it would be an investment well worth it.

In reality we should have Amare do it. He owes us for all the wine baths and nonsense. And yeah yeah, Amare isn't Mr Fundamental but truth is nobody wants fundamentals. All the top notch fundamental, deep in the post, 20 counters big men are dinosaurs or playing in a reduced role. What's up is down in the year 2018.

What Mitchell needs to learn these days is how to set a pick, take the right angle to the basket, jump/catch/jam. Amare can teach him that. Noah will take care of the rest.

What's Tyson Chandler doing these days? Besides skipping leg day?

Hakeem is the guy you want to train him with. Both Kobe and Amare went to him to expand their games.

Well, we need someone to mentor Mitchell who can relate to his skill set. As others said, not just an offensive star like Amare. Maybe we need two guys? Lol

Camby is retired right? He'd be ideal. High flying high energy big when young. Added the jumper a little later on.

Actually I hadn‘t thought of it. He might be great as he is also a lanky athletic guy.
Offensively he is in a way similar, so we would still need someone there - more advanced, maybe just Fiz...

I'm so down for giving Duncan a 5 mill per contract for three years with the sole purpose of working with Robinson. Kid like this you invest in

Yes, Hakeem has demonstrated his ability in expanding a player's skill set. I am sure the coaches on staff would do a fine job but he needs specialized training to accelerate his development. The flip side of not having a lot of experience is he will not have a lot of bad habits to break.

Here's a guy who had big time post skills who I think worked with the Knicks before:

Mark Aguirre - more a traditional post player; don't recall him as a P&R big

It's super unlikely but if Fitz could get Chris Bosh to come in as a consultant like Steve Nash in GSW that would be amazing.

Noah is a way better mentor than Kanter, even KP credits him for his mentor-ship.

Dude was working with AD's trainer. He's getting modern fundamentals taught to him for a year now. I'm going to think it's conditioning that may be the more important issue with him. He's been training pro for a year now. He's dying to show people his game. He said so in the video.

I'm sure he could use more work. I just think the lack of 5 on 5 ball is going to show early on.

Mitchell need to add some weight. He needs Mike Bibby as his personal trainer.

Robinson’s future looks much closer to a Noah than a Kanter. I don’t see him becoming a traditional low post threat, more of a pick and roll guy with the ability to defend all over the court.
