Well technically he's counting down the days until he's on the parquet.

Re: Gordon Hayward Thread
According to the GB, he's damaged goods. So we should just hang it up on this guy.
Man I can't wait for this season to start.

If here an issue with his rehab? Will be ready by the end of Summer league?

Re: Gordon Hayward Thread
I hope that Gordon does not come back too soon.
I remember watching the great Bill Walton return too early from his first foot injury, and he was never the same.
When I broke my wrist, I went to a wrist specialist, who had set 5,000 by the time he saw me.
I knew he set it perfectly, despite it being a horrific break, but when he removed the second cast 46 days later,
and I asked him when would my wrist be "as strong as it was,"
the doctor replied although the x-ray shows that the bone filled in in about 6 weeks,
it will take 2 to 2 1/2 years before the bone has the same density that it had pre-break.
Walton's injury was avoidable. The Blazers won the 1977 Championship, with Walton winning Finals MVP.
They were 50-10 the next year before Walton's first foot injury, which is a 68 win pace.
However, without Bill Walton, the Blazers went 8-14 to finish 58-24.
Walton got voted League MVP in abstentia.
I just keep thinking about that 2 to 2/12 year comment regarding bone density. In my case it was about 2 /12 years to good as new.
This is an ankle we are talking about.
I used to be able to fall to the floor from a standing position and catch myself with one hand.
The stress on feet is probably even greater.
I just hope that the Celtics don't make the same mistake the Blazers did with Bill Walton and bring Gordon Hayward back too soon.

the GB is nearly almost wrong. The Celtics were going to win at most 45 games once Hayward went down if I recall.itrsteve wrote:According to the GB, he's damaged goods. So we should just hang it up on this guy.

I think he should be limited minutes. I agree with you things just don't really heal that fast. This team is so deep no need to over work anyone.

Fake news, he's damaged goods.
I really wish I would have savored the moment a little more watching him live at a pre-season game vs Charlotte. Last time to see this dude before he fell apart forever.
Man I can't wait for the Butler boys to come back and shut everybody up. I'm confident that we're going to see the most effective Hayward to date.

Apparently I'm weird in that I'm not remotely worried about Hayward and actually expect him to be balling the **** out by December.

"Doctor, when will I be able to play the piano after the cast comes off?"
"Yes, although you should wait a few weeks."

Gordie's gonna be a dad a third time (that we know of) in January. Another girl I think. Congrats to the Haywards!

From my understanding while we were losing the ecf, Gordon came out with a win again...

Eh 3 girld?

Good assessment:

Eh 3 girld?Nothing against women but I'm convinced he wanted a boy so he can maybe have one of his kids play b-ball. A kid is a kid anyways. Gz to Gordon.
A father is often jealous of his girls, for now he is good, once they start dating he will ive in a nightmare...
