Anything new on Williams. When's his presser?
Good assessment:
PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

By his 3rd season he'll be putting up 12/10/2 on 55% FG.
What a monster pickup. Now we just continue to focus on building an arsenal of multi-dimensional wings.

He has a really nice hook shot I think with both hands? Looks unstoppable by one player.

Thanks for the link. I came out of it really concerned about the coach's motor. He may have been in the middle of a heroin injection. I have a feeling Brad will be a better motivator.

When will he sign his contract? What will he sign him at? Rookies can get as low as 80% of rookie scale, or as high as 120% of rookie scale.
Rookie scale for the 27th pick is $1,367,000.

Everyone signs their 1st-rounders to 120% of rookie scale salary nowadays. No rush to sign him. My guess is they'll wait until free agency and fill rest of the roster first.

No word on a press conference today, so it's probably not yet scheduled. The original day was loosely said offhand by Brad Stevens. It does not appear to be the case at this moment.

Makes sense; probably still working out the time zone thing.

Good for Brad--acknowledging that keeping everyone waiting an hour for your introductory press call is unacceptable.

Hopefully Williams can live up to the legacy of the last guy who wore this jersey number.

Can Wanamaker officially sign now? Or does he have to wait until July?
