I absolutely love the Wilt Chamberlain fingerroll game he's got going on. His touch around the basket is crazy for a player his size. The sky is the limit for this kid.

Sidenote: Love that he's named after his mother.

I really hope this is true. I hope Koko was 100% on board with the pick and thought Deandre was a better #1 than Luka. I trust Koko's evaluation of Luka way more than McD's, and so if Koko was in favor of Ayton, I feel a lot better about not taking Luka (whom I personally wanted). I hope that there is a solid plan for Deandre both defensively and offensively. I'm too used to Suns players being underdeveloped and just looking lost on the court. I'm ready for a player to dominate (alongside Booker). I am way more excited about the season after hearing Koko say what he did (and hopefully mean it).

“He did an unbelievable job for Slovenian National Team. He will be a hell of a player in this league. So, good memories of Luka. I wish him nothing but the best. But Deandre is my son right now.

Yeah I wanted Doncic but this quote won me over. To hear something like this from Doncic's former coach about Ayton is all I need to believe we've got a team that is building something that could be really special.

One of the reporters also asked him before the end of the press session about opening his jacket during the first interview and he responded, “You can see a few flag in my jacket; you know my dad is from Nigeria and my mom is Jamaican and I’m Bahamian. So, I’m representing all those countries in one. I’m not just a Bahamian, I’m Nigerian and I’m Jamaican. So I want the world know that.”

I always thought that just because Koko coached Doncic, that if he feels Ayton is the better talent, he would certainly want the better talent. And it's great knowing that he felt that way knowing how good Doncic is first hand.
