Irrelevant. The ridiculous trade proposals back then continue to today. They never take into account contracts, injury issues, player personalities etc, current team setup.
They just see a name and go crazy.
It's irrelevant that Kawhi is much better than George/Butler?

Even on the player personality thing, I never got how a quiet guy like Kawhi prefers LA where TMZ is floating around every corner, as opposed to play in a work bucket place like Boston?
I think this topic has covered everything you say isn't being taken into account, assuming you're actually reading and not just taking the other side of the extreme you say you hate.
True it has been covered. However, not by those who will willingly advocate for ridiculous trades that get others believing such nonsense. As far as it being irrelevant, its true because they are the same type of ideas as before. Kinda of like the boy who cried wolf.
Its not just limited to those here, which is the scary thing. Holley wants to trade Brown with no assurances. Sherrod would do Kyrie AND Brown for Leonard. Thats the craziness (irresponsibility?) that I’m talking about.
Oh...I thought you just meant on this board, who gives a rip about what talking heads say?
Of course Kyrie AND Brown for Kawhi would be stupid (as he actually said that? I honestly can't re-call). I can't imagine someone suggesting that here and not getting chastised. For the most part, it seems the majority either want to stand pat or at least want some signal from Kawhi that he's remotely interested in Boston before offering a real deal.I see Rozier/Smart, Morris, and picks thrown around a lot (maybe this is also what you mean) even though there's no way the Spurs are giving up Kawhi for that poo poo platter.
But either way, if the Celtics are going to make a big trade for anyone, I'd like to think Kawhi is much more worth it than George/Butler, or even Kyrie was.
