I want off Warren's contract so we have the space to resign Jackson and down the road Ayton/Bender/Okobo (if he's good)
Did anyone watch Kevin Love last year? He can barley run up and down the floor anymore. Watching him run and jump is painful, that guy is a shell of what he was in Minnesota.

They are probably latching on to that original tweet and trying look smart. I think this was all a bunch of nothing.Mjeezy2006 wrote:matt131 wrote:oh...

you mean flipping Dudley and Chandler to the CAvs
Suns take on 33m of Anderson and Gordon
Houston gets Lebron
Yup. We also possibly send a young player to the Cavs.
Rockets add two unprotected 1st rounders to get Gilbert to play along.
Why would we also send a young player out here? There are no teams that Houston can dump Anderson on or they would have done it by now. He was not playable in the playoffs and they are stuck with his $21+ mil deal for 2 more years. Dudley and Chandler are expirings at least despite being dead weight. I don't see any reason why we would do this, let alone add a youngster despite taknig on the worst asset in the deal, all to get Lebron to Houston. Unless McD just loves Lebron that much (and I'm guessing he doesn't thanks to his chrony Rich Paul), no way this would occur. Maybe if we got Love back with Gordon, but not for Anderson.
I am not advocating this deal - - just proposing something that makes numbers work. I mean, give Anderson to the Cav and have the Rockets take back a salary like Dudley or something. Suns get Love and Gordon. Tucker and Gordon. NOt Anderson

If I had a twitter account, I'd send him some hate mail that would make the Jimmy Kimmel "mean tweets" look like motivational phrases used in church.

Nerds trying to get famous on twitter. It's nothing new, the Skip Bayless and sorts of non-athletes having opinions that people care about in sports talk have flamed this insane phenomenon of non-athletes having an opinion that matters on a national basis.

Yeah. The f***ing worst. He somehow nerded his dumba** into prominence. I can't name three posters on this board whose opinions I value less.

I could see us trying to get Tucker back. I think another option is to leave Gordon out and instead do something smaller. We can include Sauce to Houston who they can waive, freeing $5 mil. Take back Melton and Tucker, clearing another $9 mil for Houston. That gives them a net $14 mil in savings. We get Melton, a guy I assume we liked in the draft since he's an obvious fit here, and we bring back Tucker who fits the defensive "culture" everyone seems to want to give Marcus Smart $20 mil a year to bring.

I could see something like this,
Kawhi and filler to the Lakers
Ball, Kuzma, and Deng to the Suns
Warren, Bender, Ingram (more pop type players) and picks to the Spurs...
anyways something like that

That's what's frustrating about the Ariza talk. Tucker's more of a 4 and is a better player at this point in their careers, and he's on a contract that will likely be better than what Ariza will get. So unless we're dealing Warren for value, I'd rather not even think about Ariza.

Yeah that makes sense to me, too. I bet Pop would like Warren and Bender. I could even see us being open to dealing Jackson instead of Warren and Bender if we're getting Ball and Kuzma back (a 1 and a 4), though I would hate it. I love Josh, but Warren's more affordable. Meh.

It is kind of interesting that's it the perfect example of how an internet rumor spreads. He tweets that, then others who want some game if it's right latch on and 'report' that something is close then it just spreads from there. These guys basically shoot their shot and if it doesn't happen they can fall back on 'it was close but fell apart"
I think we can all go back to debating van vleet and other FAs.

Re: Trade and free agency speculation
I just don't think we need to go all in on our first official rebound year. We can't have 5 players that are going to be hunting max contracts eventually. This is why guys like Chriss, Bender and Shaq are important pieces. If they can keep growing they will be important cogs in the machine but also Making role player money.
