I just saw this thanks - will DVR starting a bit late but good viewing and glad i missed the first 20 with Lebron

Driving around, heard Gambo and Luke - he mentioned the Suns were going to talk to Tyson Chandler about coming back this season. Gambo said last season Tyson wanted out but nothing happned. This year, with Ayton, maybe he sees little playing time, losing season and wants out.

So is that a buyout - I mean, what would he take - 11m, so 2.5 off. Or a trade - like expiring for expiring. Lin for Chandler if the Suns need a PG. Denver - Faried for Chandler - does that make any sense? Lakers want an expiring but I think they want the team to add a first round pick. The Clippers - I know they got Gortat but Chandler for Beverly/Boban. Not seeing a market for Chandler but maybe I will be surprised. I would be happy if the Suns got 2-3m of cap space for Tyson if he wants out.

Wait, I thought last year he said he wanted to stay? I distinctly remember McD saying he got a call from Chandler's agent or from Chandler, thinking he was going to say he wanted out, and it was the opposite and that he really wanted to stay.

I thought the same thing. That they asked if he wanted to be traded and he said No. Maybe with a year left on his deal - eaiser to trade but again, it will either be for a guy with multiple years so the team is taking say 13m this year to get rid of a guy on a 2/25 or something like that so the other team gets an expiring for next summer and the Suns get a player for two years - not sure about that option. Or buyout - but I don't think the cap savings is instant - but maybe wrong about that.

McD was a huge fan of his, wonder if he brings him back? Could be had for cheap.

If fred can vleets max is 9.5 why does gambo keep saying we'll need to pay 15 per? Surely a paid professional like gambo would know these things?

Suns - Sign and trade Lebron and Hill
Cavs - Chandler, Dudley, Warren, Chriss, Okobo, and two future Suns firsts plus Bucks first.

Hill/Knight/Harrison
Booker/Daniels
Jackson/Bridges
Lebron/Bender
Ayton/Williams

Whatever vets want to play with Lebron on the vet minimum. Need to set up my twitter account now.

I don't think he was

iirc McD picked Ennis to ransom him off to the Raptors cause they liked him and he was Canadian and Majiri was like "Nah lol" and McD was stuck with him

one of those genius McD plans

Warren, Chriss, MIL pick + whatever else we need to throw in (Ulis, Reed, Dudley, 2nds)

Beverley | Knight | Okobo
Booker | Daniels
Jackson | Bridges
Harris | Bender
Ayton | Chandler

Starting lineup shooting and bench shooting is great there.

only if Tobias agrees to resign, otherwise we're giving TJ,Chriss and Mil for upcoming FAs

Would have to extend - cannot give up all that and have him walk.

We would get his bird rights right?

And yeah, he would need to resign but at some point you gotta cash some chips in and make **** happen. It’s not like the assets we’re giving up in that deal are THAT valuable, but yeah the goal would be to resign both players if possible.

Toronto’s big contracts come off the books in two years so wouldn’t they prefer that?

personally I would rather have Chandler one more year or half a season to mentor Ayton on the defensive side. I don't think Alan is really the 2nd option at C as he's really more of a third string C due to his size limitations.

I'm pretty sure that contract isn't possible. There are max raises in contracts of like 4-5% per year.

Plus, that type of money is ridiculous.

Edit: Guess it is due to the Arenas provision.

That's just a BS conspiracy theory that was born on this very forum. There's no proof for that. When we made the pick, Coro, Gambo or one of the national reporters said that we are drafting Ennis to keep him for ourselves.

In what universe is Van Vleet worth that contract in this market? If the Suns spend that kind of coin on FVVlwet I will not be happy. That’s just overpaying the guy. I think Ryan will be smarter.

I would rather pay Favors 4/60 . And like you said, the rules of the cap.

Beverly for 5m if the clippers trade him is still my favorite choice

FVV falls under the Arenas provision and that contract is legal. Ridiculous money but it's possible.
