Dunn would be a great fit for the Suns, but the Bulls will keep him. If Young had been drafted maybe, but he is our PG for the future

Can Dunn be attached to Felicio in order to dump his contract? Would you take a player like Chriss back? Are fans expecting a first back for him? Is unlikely to get moved in any deal?
Generally speaking, Bulls fans like him, and unless a better option comes along, he's a PG for the foreseeable future. He's a stud defender is dynamic making plays for himself and others with the ball in his hands, obviously he's not the best shooter yet but he's far from a non-shooter. Learning to improve his finishing at the rim and FT rate as well. I think he's making strides. If he was super young he'd probably relatively untouchable but he's very old for a 2nd year player.
I don't think we're motivated to lose the Felicio contract. Obviously it would be great if we could, but we're far from desperate to. It's only 8m, not the worst in the world, so I don't think we'd give up any notable assets to do so. Trading Dunn would have to be for decent value because we'd be left with a PG hole similar to yours now.
I'm not a fan of how Chriss has developed, think there's some big red flags there, but more than anything the fact that we've got Lauri and are looking to keep Portis long term makes it unlikely we'd covet another PF.
I think if we had to do a deal, a future pick would be the most likely thing we'd ask for, maybe Bender if they like him, but ultimately I don't see him dealed.
The Bulls are willing to take on bad contracts for assets, not shed them and lose assets in so doing.

If I were Pax and I could pull it off, I'd do what it takes to complete Deng with Lonzo trade, then I'd flip Lonzo to the Suns for Mikal Bridges. Suns get the PG, Lakers get relief, we get Bridges.

I like that trade a lot. I think suns would be all over that.

What about Bazemore for Felicio?
Baze 18/19M
Felicio 8/8/8M
Baze starts at the 3 and makes us much better defensively. He’s a big expiring after this season in a trade for a star.

Correct me if Im wrong but Baze has a player option for 19/20. No doubt hes opting in to that

How much does LA need to save on Deng contract? I'd take Ball if we could include Felicio.

Thay have about 47 mil in CAP space right now. So they really cant take on Felicio if they want to sign two FA (ie James and PG). They would have about 68 mil if they renounce Randle and stretch Deng. Alternative is trading Deng and sweetner for Kawhi, unload the salary and then start singing FA. Randle will need to be renonuced for max CAP room. Issue is I would be shocked if SAS want that Deng deal.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

I propose trading our future 2nd rounder for Bates Diop of MN; or Holiday for Bates Diop. We lack size at the 3, and Diop would give us a 6' 9" small forward, who can also play some at the four if Portis gets hurt. Thibs hates rookies. I think that the salaries of Holiday and Diop would not be too far apart. I'm still not sure why we didn't buy a 2nd round pick to take
Frazier or Diop. Diop is also a senior, and we love seniors. We know he can contribute from day one, and he gives us some insurance in case Hutchison does not adjust to the pro game.

also, I wonder if Philly is going to give up on Fultz. They are a playoff team, and can't experiment with a guy who got the shooting yips. What could we trade Philly for Fultz? I'd say Grant or Payne and a future second plus cash for Fultz. Philly gets a pg who can actually shoot, and we get to experiment with a top draft pick who can get back into form within a year.

Huge pipe dream grant and Payne are lucky to even be in the league

With PG staying in OKC, LA probably doesn’t need a Deng dump anymore... great dream while it lasted

They will need the space for another big FA, or a completed Kawhi trade, to get LeBron signed. No matter how much he likes LA, he won't go there to waste a year as their only star. So until either LeBron or Kawhi gets resolved, that move should be available, and the Bulls should stay ready to pounce.

Hope it’s true. But If the lakers don’t get 2 names, they can easily afford 1. Then they keep Deng on the bench all year again and trade him next summer when the price won’t be so steep.

I wonder what the Bulls could extract for taking on Melo's deal. Melo and 2 1sts for Felecio. It saves the thunder a gazillion dollars in LT this year.

We should trade Portis for Exum in a S+T.

What about a four team trade?
Lakers - Leonard and Kilpatrick (cut)
Suns - Ball
Bull - Deng and Bridges
Spurs - Ingram, Kuzman, Randle(sign and trade) and Valentine + 1 rounders from Lakers.
Would love to get rid of Felicio but don’t think it’s possible in this situation.

Lebron James is their point guard.
Also, that trade would free up money to sign players closer to James' timeline. They could then sign Cousins and a veteran point guard. Someone like Rajon Rondo.
