Stein stating the case I posted earlier - to keep from lux tax, Nuggets need to move a player. Wilson Chandler and a first round pick. Chandler could be your stretch 4; Suns get a first rounder, still have cap space for Beverly.

Also looks like PG13 is staying in OKC per STein. If they stretch Anthony, they save like 60m. Methinks they stretch Melo.

Kendall Marshall as a starter:

Ball as a starter:

Why trade for Lonzo ball when we can just find Kendall Marshall somewhere....

You feel me dawgs...

Sorry Dawg, i dont feel ya.

I said as a starter you didnt compare the same thing I did. Why u gotta lie.

Anyways Of course I dont want either of them. Im just making fun. Thats why I had green font. Why are you so weird today.

Kendall Marshall had better stats as a starter than Ball. You can compare different stats all you want. Which is weird imo.

that being said I dont want either of them and this whole thread is a circus.

dunno, this is the same front office that thought a twin brother wouldn't (predictably) freak out when his twin got traded

they are pretty bad at reading/dealing with people

Well, I dont know man. Too many variables differ, we’re talking brothers vs best buds, Book’s status on the team vs just the Morrii, Book having a higher EQ (probably), understanding that the NBA is a “business” vs some alleged felons, who as you may see I have very little respect for. Sadly, at this point, you just have to trust that this FO has learned. We add in James Jones, who can provide maybe some insight from a players POV.

To me this just seems to be a different off season compared to the lemons we previously had. Let’s see!

Damn, some of you guys have lost your dang minds. We can’t even get through a week and a half after the best draft we have had in forever.

Happy that McD is finally on the front foot. Ulis is a backup PG if everything pans out and there are a million other guys that can be that. I don't wanna be the one betting on his measureables.

Ulis cut because if we sign Van Vleet we would have too many short PGs

I’m confident that with the way free agency is looking at the moment, he should cost a lot less.

It all depends on what Toronto is willing to match, so if they don't it will likely be an overpay, but that's the only way to get RFAs. That's why I'd look at guys like Beverley and others first.

A contract would likely require a jump in year 3, but maybe not nearly as high as Sidery tweeted, and maybe no 4th year. I have high hopes for Okobo though, so I'd really look at a bunch of the more vet 1 year options...we could always look again next year if Okobo isn't ready.

I have plenty of time to change my thoughts but I am calling my moves for Free AGency week at 9pm is only 5 hours plus away:

1) Beverly at PG
2) FAvors on a 3/48 deal - the Igor connection
3) Trading Chandler, Dudley, Daniels, possibly Chriss , Warren (not all but one or a combination) - to create a bit more cap space to do the above two items

Sorry Kerrsed - probably do not have the funds to get Lance
Favors isn't the guy I want to spend mom money with Ayton in the fold. Favors is a five.

OK

I have read through all the current BS regarding what we might do and what is available. I am down to two players that I would consider acquiring.

1. Goran Dragic - trade
2. Sign FVV for no more than 2 years for no more than 9 mil per year. If that is not enough money, so be it.

I am not interested in ANY PF that is available not named Lebron James - and he ain't coming here. Well Durant might work. I also am not interested in PG or CP3.

If this does not work, bring Canaan and Harrison to camp along with Williams let them earn a spots on the final roster.

I like what we have and I want to give Igor a chance to coach them.

You can easily get additional cap space by finding s taker for Dudley’s or Chandler’s last year, can’t you? In Dudley’s case I wouldn’t be surprised if Olshey took him to Portland for our TPE so that is $9M off the books.

I would actually maybe try other deal. Warren, Okobo and Suns 2019 top 3 protected pick for Walker. They get a very talented guard, a pick and a quality wing. If you don’t offload Dudley then put him in the deal and add MKG on their side, they get cap relief for a year in 2019-20 as another incentive.

Then you do Chriss, Daniels, Chandler (to match salaries), Bucks pick for Kevin Love - maybe throw a few seconds into the deal. Cavs get cap space relief next year, receive a decent pick and a young player they can put next to Sexton and develop.

If I’m not wrong you can still make a couple of cheap moves in FA and then use MLE. I would try to fill the bench with players like VanVleet, Bjelica, Caldwell-Pope, Ed Davis etc.

I don’t know what you do with Knight. Ideally you would offload him as his contract is bad but there’s no market for him and he’s just 26, he can get better and still be useful when healthy.

He's getting an offer for at least 4/40. Wonder if it gets matched. Really dont want to backroad a contract. It makes no sense.

Ideal off season.

Trade for love. No way Cleveland keeps him when James leaves. He has a player option next year. I can’t see him resigning there. So either 2 years max , but more than likely , he will opt out next year from Cleveland.

Sign either Van Vleet or Smart to a contract. Nothing long term though. Over pay for 2 years. Create competition at the pg position.

Let the young players play, but make them earn playing time.

You and I have an extremely different idea of of ideal. This teams windows is going to open in 3 to 5 years. What good is trading for a player that has no chance of being around and productive at that time? I dont see any value in Love.
He helps us compete now and start winning games. That's important for a young team. Love has been to three straight finals and is a perfect positional fit. Have to crawl before you walk. He can get us crawling and even standing up man. I agree we won't win anything for at least 3 years. But with a player like love our youth will be much better prepared in 3 years than without a player like Love.
