Because Irving, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Horford just don’t cut it!

Close but not good enough to dethrone the warriors. This season will prove that. Even Ainge knows that. They are a championship contending team, with a chance to get to the NBA finals, but they are not good enough to beat the warriors. That is just the truth.

I would die if Lebron 'decides' to go back to Cleveland after all this. Would be just too good.

I just had a funny premonition that LA is going to strike out on everything then throw way too much money at Smart.

I actually think that's a pretty good signing for them. A little toughness, shooting, and vet influence is what they need. Got plenty of length on D to cover for him. $7M is nothing these days. Tho, I admit the toughness and vet influence may be overstated by me... 8-)

What's really funny is Houston didn't even have a shot at getting Bron. LMAO.

Since Ainge has $8.6 million to play with there is a decent chance he could get Karl Malone, Reggie Miller and Julius Erving right now.

Does that work?

DSJ, DJ, Doncic, Barnes is interesting.. Not great, but interesting.

If a rehabbing Cousins goes to the Lakers, are we suddenly back on with a Smart+ for AD sign and trade?

I just want to say Kudos to our boy Smitty. Last year those clowns over on reddit were being mean and even suggested no one post his tweets. This year he's had a few good ones, and some of his stuff is being upvoted to the front page. He's getting that validation.

NICE WORK SMITTY!

Thanks Afam btw for creating this thread. Can't cram everything into the Around the NBA thread. Also keeps Kawhi thread relatively about Kawhi and Offseason thread exclusively about Cs stuff.

Doesn’t make a difference and takes up cap space. Knicks type of move. Ainge would never do something like this.

Count me in among the ones who like it for the Bucks without knowing their cap/tax sitch. At least they're no longer giving contracts to useless centers.

Edit: Rather this than commit huge long-term money to Jabari Parker tbh.

Yup. I saw a lot of "Keith Smith is not a real source" over there a year back. Now when his stuff is linked it's treated as legit.
