They have an outside shot at making the Finals, but the guy is really fragile.

They already lost Ariza, are a tax team without resigning Capella yet. Just gonna get harder and harder to fill in the blanks. Will be interesting to see what happens with Mbah a Moute. If they lose him (or have to pay him a lot), that's another hit.

True, but their owner is rich and they are probably making a decent amount of money and are famous nation-wide. Ryan has done decent at drafting but his free agent signings have been the weirdest ever. Signing Ariza on a 1 year deal does nothing for the Suns, the same way signing Tyson Chandler did nothing for them.

Agreed on the Suns - seems like they always do the first move, then nothing follows to make that first move make sense... Even the drafting hasn't been great, though this year seems pretty solid as of now.

At the time, everyone considered the return Indiana got for PG13 to be crap. Oladipo was considered to be a career role player at the time, not a star about to be born. Thunder would have never done the deal if Oladipo of last season was who they were giving up.

A comparable package from us would be Rozier+the Marcuses and our own first in 19. Not Brown+a future lotto pick.

And that's why you don't trust everything you read. I just love to watch the Lakers fail again and again and again !

Maybe Avery for the full MLE 1 year if nobody offers him anything good? There was no bad blood there, Danny tried to get Avery paid. Wonder if he would consider one year deal to prove himself.
Good assessment:

Game, set and match. Oladipo has been basically better in IND than George in OKC. So they wouldn't have traded Victor at 20 mils to get George at ~34.

Major props to CP3 and PG13 for doing things quickly and resigning with their teams.

I have faith that once this bitch ass diva called LeBron retires and takes his stupid attention seeking ways far from the league, the NBA will be a better and more competitive league.

And look like others superstars are not obsessed with playing with Lebron.

People saying LBJ makes teammates better are delusional, they have barely been any good players that have gotten better playing with LBJ: Wade, Bosh, Love all took serious hits in stats while playing with LBJ. LBJ makes himself look better at the expanse of his teammates and that's an absolute reality. Even Kyrie had his best season yet once he left the LeBron-led Cavs.

He has made a career of making one dimensional role players better, because he is able to control how they play. Anyone who wants to actually make plays though has suffered, I think with the exception of Wade (until he got old) and Kyrie (who he pissed off)

Pelicans board insider on Boogie:
Cousins is leveraging for the biggest deal. He's trying to make the Pels blink with a big max. What it comes down to is Cousins Pride vs Dell's logic.

Cousins is working every angle to get the best deal. We have to make a big enough offer for him to not take a 1 year deal with the Lakers. Dell has to figure that balance out. If Cousins wanted to leave he'd already have taken the 1 year offer from the Lakers. He wants his big contract.
