Signing Cousins would be a mistake

Possibly..but I think Cousins would be more enticed to play there as they are still the lakers and they will be good for rd 2 at least.

Kobe is happy as well, because if LeBron doesn’t live up to the hype in LA. This will make Kobe look better in the long run. If LeBron plays great and takes the Lakers to the promise land, Kobe can take credit for being part of the legendary history that helped LeBron come to the Lakers. It is a win win for Kobe. Either way.

For me, there’s literally no objective argument that places him outside of top 5 and that’s absolutely pushing it. For career value, there’s more of an argument for top 1 than anywhere outside of top 3.
