Stop it. If that were true he would have signed with the Clippers. I am obviously not a Laker fan, but to not acknowledge that they are second only to the Celtics as a historic winning franchise, sounds a lot like sour grapes.

Laziest argument ever. So why are the Clippers, Nets and Knicks not having the same effect on the league? Why do they have a grand total of 2 NBA titles (excluding the Nets' 2 ABA titles)???

Yeah...and if I recall correctly... LA was allegedly THE destination for LeBron after New York when he ended up in Miami, right? so....better late than never? lol

The Laker fanbase will believe they are the front runners for every name that will ever come up for the rest of time. That's why the rest of the world is usually so disgusted by them. I used to be grossed out by Cavs fans when they and the Magic had an actual rivalry, but Cavs fans even during this last stretch of LeBron and a championship were FAR more civilized as a dominant conference team.

LA fans have a way of being incredibly obnoxious the second their fortunes appear to change. No humility or grace whatsoever.

Really interested in seeing how Lebron and Lonzo mesh

Will they mesh? I think Lebron has a chance to set a lot of all-time records so he's going to want the same kind of usage rates as he's been getting.

That means he wants to rack up a lot of assists for instance, at the expense of others. That might reduce Lonzo's chances to develop.

Love started shooting more 3-point shots playing with Lebron, instead of getting more shots inside. Same thing with Bosh. That might mean more catch and shoot plays for Ingram and Kuzma rather than giving them as many touches to create for themselves or others.

There was speculation that Embiid would have to sign off on giving up some touches for Lebron to join the 76ers. Maybe Lebron thought the Lakers would be more willing to adjust to his game than other teams would.

Ironic you bring that up because the very reason he couldn't get guys to sign on in Cleveland was precisely because he was on 1+1 deals and a flight risk
