Can't lie, I'm pretty tempted with LeBron moving west. I think if there's a way to get Kawhi, even without a guarantee beyond the year, the Hornets should pull the trigger. I'd have no reservations about adding next year's first, as it's a weaker draft at this point and a Kemba/Kawhi combo likely place the pick in the early-to-mid 20s. Future picks could be dicey but they could protect them in such a way that the blow could be minimal if the team is still bad in three years (basically meaning he leaves).
It's a gamble but **** it, the east is open.

So he can do to us what he did to the Spurs? Dude is worth nothing to anyone except LA. When you are top 5 player you call the shots.
It's possible that we lose Lamb all the same way in order to keep Kemba here. Would you rather lose Leonard next summer or Lamb next summer/this deadline....with the chance that Leonard at least makes us a top-3 team in the East....AND possibly pulls a Paul George and stays here with Kemba, Monk and Bridges.
Kemba
Monk
Leonard
