If everything that clown Stephen A Smith says is true, the Spurs are in a awful situation right now. Apparently Leonard has let it be known that he only has eyes for the Lakers only. No team is going to pay a hefty price for a 1 year rental. As for the Lakers, they can easily hold on to Ingram, Ball, Kuzma, etc. and just elect to sign him next season

Yep! the one year deal for KCP and the possible one year deals being offered by the Lakers pretty much sums up the plan to have a full max again for Kawhi again next summer. The Spurs know this and I think a deal gets done soon now that LeBron has signed and the Celtics and Sixers made it clear they will not trade any of their young studs for Kawhi.

I know you think he's over-rated but at worst you'd have to admit he's a top 10 guy of all time. You are getting him still in his prime and if he has a couple of good years left in him depending on the other moves, you guys will be a strong WCF contender again. That's great for Lakers fans.

Major props to Paul George for turning down Lebron James and starting loyal to his teammate Westbrook.

It goes both ways. Props to LeBron being loyal to his family. He knows he probably will never be in another finals. Things get different when you enter your 30s. You care less about winning. You understand there is more to life than sports. That's what made LeBron's decision, I believe. He knows he didn't have to prove anything to anybody else.

But PG did do a great thing too. He was loyal to the friendships he made. That mattered more than going back home. We all run out of time as athletes. There is so much more to life. Sports is such a small fraction, at least playing.
