Very random and unreliable source, but Rondo for 2yr/$16mil is a contract I'd be all over. Lauri's development heavily relies on a guard activating his full-potential and Kris needs a mentor/competition for his starting position. I would love Rondo to retire a Bull and become the next head coach after Hoiberg.

do you think Gambo is unreliable? He's normally plugged in. When I hear him talking Suns, I feel he's sourced as well as anybody in the area. He has been in the past anyway.

Yeah no. Apples and oranges. That does not set anything in regards to Lavine.

I'd never heard of him, so I assumed he was a KC-esque spokesman type of journalist for the Suns. I'll defer to your trust in his sources then. I'd much rather give Rondo a contract over Nwaba, it's a lateral move but I'd value Rondo's veteran leadership and playmaking over Nwaba's athleticism.

If they bring back Rondo and go after Parker, they consider the rebuild as over and want to be back in the POs.

Hoping the Bulls re-sign LaVine to a fair contract and take a chance on Jabari on a two year deal.

I like what I have seen the Bulls do with free agents this offseason:

1. Put hands on a chair.
2. Sit on the hands.
From the basketball's perspective, travel is a nice pause from being pounded to the floor.

Just stay away from Jabari, please.

I just don't see how he can help. Dunn is the future and i can't believe I'm saying this but Payne looked like an at least decent backup. But I'm old school and may be way off base. Also, what makes u think he'll be a good coach?

coach -- bcs how the team-mates and GM's talk about him, also its appareant he is smart and analytical player, he
also said he sees himself as a coach someday

Dunn, Payne, Rondo can be solid rotation - Dunn can play some minutes at 2.. also Dunn and Payne had some health issues in
last couple of seasons..

Why are people linking them so much? Gordon has been a better player than Zach Lavine has. Gordon has helped his team already. He's proven something.

More importantly, why are people willing to let a management decision by Orlando Magic, a bottom five franchise over last decade, set a benchmark for the Bulls to follow?

Is one year deal for Jabari even a possibility? Isn't there 3 year deal rule for RFAs?

Then explore using assets like Portis, Valentine, future picks to get the best back-court piece you can, or at least get picks.

I think we have different definitions of the word "ideally".

What would be your ideal scenario if the Bulls brought in Lavine and Parker? Because that was the premise.

If the Bulls sign LaVine and Parker to long deals, my ideal scenario is Lauri getting traded.

1 year deal for Jabari makes no sense. Hurts our pick quality next year and if he plays well, you have to pay him a higher salary or risk losing him. Rentals make little sense fpr lottery teams.

Nice post. I'd love Rondo feeding Carter and Markannan and Lavine. and teaching kris everything he knows. He would make a fantastic coach post-Hoiberg. Hope it comes to fruition.
