Why engage the spurs twice if you are unwilling to make jaylen brown available. Common sense would tell you that the spurs were going to ask for Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum. What were the celtics expecting to happen.

Why bid against yourself? If the Lakers are only offering Hart and other BS then why offer Jaylen out of the gate.

Why would the spurs accept a package without Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown. That is a bad trade for them. I would like for the celtics to get kawhi without giving up jaylen brown, but the spurs wouldn't agree to that.
