Anyone else find it kind of ironic that the Thunder wouldn't go into the luxury tax to keep Durant/Westbrook/Harden together but now are going to end up with possibly the heftiest tax bill in the league?

Waiting for the DeMarcus Cousins domino to fall.

I wonder how involved LeBron was in Cleveland's decision to help the Lakers dump Clarkson...

The market is beginning to get pretty thing for Marcus Smart. I thought prior to free agency he would have a hard time getting a good sized contract and its looking like that is how its going to play out. Indy is really the only team I can see offering him a contract worth at least 10M/yr.

Sac has the money but with Fox/Bogdan/Buddy/Frank Mason, they seem pretty set on their guards. Dont see them signing a guy that would take away minutes from the first 3 guys on that list.

Atlanta has money but I doubt they would want to tie any money up with Smart. My guess is they want to keep cap space so they can be a viable spot for cap dumps by teams for them to pick up some draft picks.

I think you guys are going to be able to retain him for cheap for at least 1 more year. I just think with a lack of a jumper, he is never going to get that big contract.

Ya I believe after Redick they still have 17 mil. I just dont think Smart fits that team at all. They want and need shooters around Embiid and Simmons. You play Smart with those 2 and there would be 0 space with that offense. I think Wayne Ellington and Avery Bradley will get a sizable 1 year offer way before Smart does from them.
