He had a great year last year and has really matured in his game. He's still great at driving but has also significantly improved his 3 pt shot. It's mostly layups and 3's for Tyreke and exactly the way the game is now played. There's no money out there for him so he could take MLE or the Kings could give him a larger short contract say 2 years $24 million with year 2 player option. He's so much better than Hezonja and Justin Jackson and there is that sentimental draw. LaVine still has most upside but our one and only ROY could be a nice addition.

'Reke is on verge of signing with Lakers.

Interesting roster. They seem to be building a complete question mark. They better hope Reke's shooting holds up. They just signed ball dominant LeBron with Lonzo Ball already there. So they add Lance Stephenson and maybe Reke to that? Very interesting indeed. Magic must still be mentoring Vlade. Now it all makes sense. Magic Johnson wants to build a team with 5 big PG's. Surprise!

If Vivek really is fine with Vlade putting all the chips into next summers free agents and is willing to pass on this summer could he really fire him when the roster is more or less the same as last year? Seems like Vlade is the one that's gonna be using the cap room next year.

i mean i guess you could argue the opposite, that the Kings could lure a really experienced GM (David Griffin/Sam Hinkie) next summer as all that money to spend would be pretty appealing.

At this point I hope they go into the season under the cap and see if they can get a draft pick next year through helping another team contend or something.

Cap space leading to something next year is a pipe dream. They can't get anyone to sign when they are one of only five teams with space. They need to trade/draft their way up. They got really lucky jumping this year so that takes away some of the sting but they need to get back into next years draft. I think it's better than people expect. I'm super intrigued by Bol Bol and Naz Reid.

I honestly don't see why their jobs should be on the line in the first place honestly. This team has no business making the playoffs for at least another 2-3 years, especially with how stacked the West continues to get. Barring a drastic screw up or Joerger completely not playing the young guys, I don't see why they should be on the hot seat.

The onus is on Joerger now but since that Philly trade I think Vlade has done a good job overall. I think the return on Cuz looks better, unfortunately partly due to Cuz's injury, but Hield can be special if they don't blow it.

Any chance we have something lined up like a salary dump with Denver where we get Michael Porter Jr, who the FO seemed to like so much? Something like Faried + D.Arthur + Porter Jr for Skal? That alone would get the Nuggets out of the Luxury Tax and save them what I saw reported as a $42M Luxury Tax bill. $42M is a TON of money to spend gambling on the back of your draft pick.

The numbers would also work if it were Wilson Chandler + Farried + Porter Jr for WCS.

If Porter Jr's medicals checked out, and the FO was really interested in him, I could see that as a move that would at least help with the long-term rebuild. Also, interestingly, it looks like Michael Porter Jr has yet to sign his contract with Denver.

Would you stretch Shump and take on expiring contracts to get Michael Porter Jr? I think it would be a better play than sitting on the space and getting a non-lottery pick next summer.

I can't see the Nuggets trading Porter now that he has been drafted. That would just disappoint the fan base too much. That should have been done before the draft.

I could see the Kings taking Wilson Chandler. Solid stopgap SF for the team.

The fact that Denver hasn't signed him yet indicates that they are at least open to including him in a trade.

The numbers may be wrong, especially on the tax bill calculation, but if DEN IS facing a $42M tax bill, plus the $20M+ in player salaries that they would be shedding, to Denver that's a $60M salary swing. I would not be surprised to see the team trade away Porter Jr to save $60M. They have to reduce payroll by around $20M to avoid the Luxury Tax, and if we stretch Shump we can help them do it all.

I'd send them Skal or WCS as part of the deal if needed. The Kings would get a prospect that they were reportedly REALLY high on without giving up any future cap flexibility.

Fox
Buddy/Bogdan
Porter
Bagley
Giles

That's not a terrible rebuilding off-season.

Welp... Randle to Pelicans for 2/18.

So we coulda had Doncic/Randle or Bagley. I really love Bagley, so hoping he blows it out of the water!

DMC, IT, and Tyreke all signing with Sacramento this summer. Welcome back boys. But all jokes aside, id give DMC 1/15 and welcome him back happily.

i know its summer league but JJJ is absolutely lighting it up right now hitting 3 after 3. Good sign considering he's a lot better on D than O and was supposed to be a project offensively.

A lot of people wanted doncic but i always thought JJJ would have the biggest impact for us.

They always say doing well in summer league won't mean you're gonna be a good pro...but being bad in summer league usually means you wont be great in the league.

After the DMC and Vlade drama, I doubt we are seeing DMC in a Kings jersey anytime soon.

I don’t think IT would like a 6th man role. He sees himself as a starter.

I wouldn’t mind bringing Reke back. If we are thinking Bogi at the 3, why not Reke?

The NBA is going crazy watching these powerhouse moves and I’m like “can’t wait to see my guys Harry and Marvin tonight.”

You know I’m happy he went to warriors. It sends some subliminal cuss words to the Lakers...which I’m all for

And Magic signs his 4th Magic clone! Rondo, Ball, James, Lance Stephenson. Next up is Tyreke, make it 5! Dude is truly creating a team in the vision of himself. This could be either beautiful or UGLY! Maybe both hahaha.

People are making it out like this is the KD signing. Could Boogie help them? Absolutely. But this is a guy coming off of one of the worst injuries an nba player can suffer. A guy who is not good for chemistry and may not be willing/able to buy into the warriors way of playing defense. Didn't we just see all those immobile bigs played off the floor in the playoffs? How about an immobile big with a recently ruptured achilles?

If they somehow dont win a title and there are chemistry issues Cuz, Klay and KD could all opt to go elsewhere as their contracts aren't guaranteed past this season.

Cousins can stay on the floor when hes healthy thats not a question. He isn't immobile like you are making him out to be. Post Achilles who knows.

That said I dont give a **** right now. Im happy as hell. I've rooted against the Warriors and Durant for many years but you know what, anything is better than the Lakers.

**** THE LAKERS **** THE LAKERS!!!
