Giving Randle a lucrative deal wouldn't make sense. Just like Jabari Parker, he has no position here.

Hahahaha.
There's a good chance.
Nothing objective whatsoever in that post.
And nothing constructive whatever in that response.
Rookies flame out. It happens all the time. Carter is a good prospect but not remotely so talented as to be anything like a can’t miss (as if those existed). Randle is already a very good NBA player, and young enough to where he could still improve.
Given the Bulls’ ineptitude and unattractiveness as a FA option, holding out hope for two max deals after next season is probably yet another siren’s song. Randle should at least be considered, and there’s no reason he and Carter can’t be on the same roster.
None required in response to none given.

Carter's D, Size, Shot, 3 Ball, Rim protection, and offensive versatility (PnR, Low Post Offense, High Post, Roll, Pick N Pop) and age of 19 give him a MASSIVE advantage of being a better prospect than what Randle currently is. Randle could improve though. I don't think he will. If he had a 3 ball he'd be a much better prospect though.
I agree about the two max slots not panning out.
We are still early in the rebuild. This next season IMO is about seeing how are youth develop. If we make the playoffs with them playing almost all the mins then we have somethign worth adding a star to.

So he replaces Cousins?
I'm not liking Nola's offseason at all. Lose Rondo. Lose Cousins. Get Payton and Randle.

Randle is not a center at all. We have the perfect fit next to Lauri in Carter. Randle is a power forward. We don't need him.

I would have also made an attempt to get rid of Felicio, Holiday and Payne.
It seems like we are on a vacation ever since Derrick Rose got hurt. As fans we deserve much better.
Wow. What a turn of pessimism. Talks breaking down??
Nothing is breaking down. I just dislike the fact that they take their sweet time for no reason. The market for Lavine is already set. Just work with him and stop playing dumb. If you really want a player you offer him the deal he is most likely to take and cut the BS already. The waiting game could backfire.

seems like based on our recent history with RFAs that "not waiting" is more likely to backfire than "waiting"

I think the front office is pretty transparent in their contract negotiations. Imo, if this really does drag out like it does with Niko, then I think the rumors of them not being confident in Lavine's long term fit is real.
All the players that they want to keep, those contract signings happen pretty quickly.

Wait, there are some people bitching that the Bulls haven't made a move on LaVine yet? Why should they? He has a minimal market thus far. Let him get an offer sheet. Longer this plays out, better it is for the Bulls.

Yeah, I don’t “hate” the FO, but it does seem like they play games that don’t need to be played just to make themselves look astute. Sometimes the best moves really are the ones that make the most sense. So just effing do it already. Lol.

Or the more we end up overpaying if Atlanta or Sacramento offer him a big deal.

The talent is there with Parker but the injures worry me. I wouldn't give him anything more than what Randle got.

Why would they do that? If they offer him a big deal, you let him walk. But thus far, his market has been minimal. That usually doesn't play out well for the player.
Bulls must be confident in what his market will be and are willing to be patient with it.

No Parker
Re-sign Lavine & Nwaba
G Dunn / Payne / Valentine
G Lavine / Valentine / Hutchinson
F Holiday / Hutchinson / Nwaba
F Markkanen / Portis
C Lopez / Carter Jr.
Play Lopez/Holiday/Grant/Payne/Felicio like crazy and look to trade for young prospects or draft picks at the deadline. Look to absorb deals for assets.

Re: Bulls Free Agency - Merged
Yeah that was the dumbest move, most of us here were wondering why they gave that contract almost immediately after free agency began. We knew it was a horrible deal, yet they thought it was a good idea lol. Felicio never had any potential to become anything more than what he was, don’t understand how the ones in charge didn’t see that.holv03 wrote:RedBulls23 wrote:holv03 wrote:

What about Isiah Thomas. I know he wasn't great last year but could be a value signing

Re: Bulls Free Agency - Merged
Felicio must be laughing all the way to the bank right now because there is no way Randle should only be making 1 million more than him. And, Felicio will not even see the floor much by all indications. I am still upset with the way the Bulls signed Felicio to that contract at 12:01 on the say free-agency started last season. Because of this irresponsible action, Paxson is now preaching patience in this year's free-agency. We should have been in play for guys like Parker, Noël, Tyreke Evans, Julius Randle, Hezonja.

Actually surprised he’s still available but yeah he would be a really good pick up but you know bulls keep using the word “rebuilding” and don’t want to get anyone like that, not even for a year contract. Let’s just wait for next year when a bunch of teams also have cap space and no one will come, then they will target the summer of 2020 lol.
