@RichHomieFlom I thought draft reform was supposed to mean that teams can still get good draft picks without needing to tank, that teams can still rebuild with competitive squads trying to make the playoffs.

Yes, I think it's foolish to throw a bunch of rookies into the deep end of the pool and expect them to perform water ballet. It's also foolish to destroy whatever we have left of a winning culture. It's also foolish to give valuable PT to guys who are probably never going to make it in the NBA on the 2% chance they might somehow turn the corner.

Better to play the game right, teach the kids who earn PT to play right, and with as little misery as is necessary along the way. Nobody learns anything playing badly and losing all the time.

As for the new lottery odds, they'll help--especially to avoid the shameful and absurd race to the bottom for the top 3 picks--but it'll still pay to suck.

This is so unbelievably stupid. I'm rapidly losing faith in the front office. They don't have a direction or a clue after all, apparently. Who were we bidding against?

If the second year of this deal isn't a team option, I don't even know what to say.

The second year better be a team option. I was all for resigning him to a 1 year contract for him to regain his value and for us to use him as trade bait.

Hopefully he is trade bait.

If he isn't, Shai and Jerome's development won't start until 2021.

If the deal was 2 years 18 mil, then i'd say it was a shrewd gamble in trying to turn Bradley into an asset to flip at the deadline. 2 years 25 mil otoh is just straight retardation if that 2nd year isnt a team option.

KCP got 12 mil only cuz he's a Klutch client and im 99% sure that it was one of Rich Pauls prereqs before he delivers Lebron to LA. Bradley had NO suitors able to pay him over the non taxpayer MLE, Clips literally bid against themselves.

Not going to lie, I'm really nervous that there hasn't been a follow-up tweet yet saying there's a player option on the second year. The Clippers just made another typical stupid Clipper move, didn't they?

Because we're the Clippers, so I guess it's impossible for us to ever have a smart front office that makes smart moves.

It makes absolutely no sense to tie up 2019 cap for a player of Bradley caliber, especially after a massive down season and him having literally NO market.

This move is like spending money just for the sake of spending money, there's just no rhyme or reason to make this move.

I mean for gods sake... if this was a 2 year deal makes me wish we had just kept Austin and let him expire instead...

I mean Bradley is a goddamn midget, if he was like 6'5" i'd say, screwit, let him get SF mins.

Avery Bradley is a pretty good player. But I just don't understand why we would sign him to a $12 million a year deal, wen we already have multiple guards on the roster.

Wow. I thought I was exaggerating when I wrote 9 guards, but damn we do have 9 guards now. All signed, traded for or drafted within the last 12 months.

After selling us on the 2019 plan, the front office is really going to take us from two max slots to one just to bring back Avery freaking Bradley. Unreal.

Jerry West is losing his touch. First the ridiculous reach for Robinson in the draft and now this...smh.

As you guys are saying, I hope the 2nd year is a team option.

Bradley is a good player. He had one down season partly due to injury but I expect him to rebound. Before last season I thought he was a very solid player
