I am not impressed. Also this 2 PG thing is still a thing? smh.

Joerger and his assistants are accustomed to a slower pace of the game. The last SL game goes against their system. This game proves how clueless they are in a fast pace setting.

The 2 PG stuff is baffling. I don't know why this is even attempted. Even in the SL-level.

Justin Jackson looks pretty good when he’s aggressive. We need more of this. 15 in the first half.

I paid close attention to the Kings on every offensive possession and I think I counted 1 shot that looked like it was intended. It's nice to see the defensive effort kicked up but there is no way to overcome that kind of ineptitude.

When I looked at the Kings roster I cringed. I sure do see a lot of combo PG's.

Surprise, when the Kings went big with Jackson, Hayes, Giles, and Bagley they all of a sudden looked like a basketball team somewhat.

There in lies the problem because being aggressive offensively for both Mason and Jackson won't help them come season time. Jackson has shown some good defense, and Mason really brought some hustle. That to me is more important than any scoring they can or will do unless they are showing their ability to spread, which the King love packing the paint. Bagley has probably never seen 3 other people in the paint with him before, sometimes all of them being his own teammates.

It is ironic too that the one play the Kings did run with intent in the first half was a middle pick and roll. Here's looking at you Dave! haha.

This game has really shone a light on bagley’s current weaknesses. Guy just can’t create for himself

Nope. He’s a high energy guy that lacks a lot of skills right now

I disagree. If players are being aggressive, defenders are forced to man up. Jackson being aggressive doesn’t necessarily mean he has to be scoring. If he is looking to move with purpose, he seems to gain confidence and makes the right plays. When he isn’t aggressive, he just looks lost and becomes useless. We’ve seen countless times that Jackson somehow disappears on offense. The weird thing is that he makes a lot of correct reads off ball and moves pretty well. If he has the go ahead to go get buckets, he transforms into a different player. His confidence turns into correct passes, reads, and eventually buckets.

I don’t understand why he can’t be that guy. It hasn’t even been 2 games in summer league man. Why is everyone overreacting so severely?

He’s only 20, and has a lot of heart. The hype should’ve never been placed, but he can match the vision I had the entire time of possibly a solid starter

Fox, Buddy/Bogdan starting, and hopefully the bigs develop into solid role players is still a watchable competitive team

That’s a team that struggles to win more than 30 games

Some serious overreactions here. LOL. There is a reason a lot of these guys look terrible. Bagley is having a rough game but he just came from one of the tightest offensive basketball systems and was dumped off into a Kings summer league. My goodness, since Joerger has taken over SL has gone in the crapper. I think that might be on purpose though considering Joerger supposedly did the same thing to the team last year. Remember, that's where that middle pick and roll comment came from. Sure, he could run it, but he wants these players to grow and learn other styles. Time for that this year might just run out however. We'll see.

As for Bagley, right now a lot of his game is predicated on being a finisher, which, believe it or not isn't a bad thing. That play where Bagely got the dump off from Mason shows you how important timing is. If Mason knows Bagleys game and doesn't hesitate, that play is an easy dunk.

Because they look like garbage, but they need to realize there is a bigger reason for that. I'm far more concerned about the lack of going to a preferential style of play, even if only summer league. I'm sorry, I don't care if they are trying to put the screws to the young guys to see how they respond, and that might be the case, but clueless from the top down will always yield the same result. If you aren't going to win anyway, looking like crap is just a death sentence to ever improving your team. Having teams with a leading scorer in that 14 ppg range is just that.

Bagley has star caliber combination length and athleticism. Thats the good news.

His skillset is just below NBA average.

His post move is very predictable. Bump bump, use shoulder to get space then float it with left.

He lacks good touch around the rim and specially from perimeter.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Way to early to judge Giles in the cluster**** that was the Kings offense last night. Kings do need to factor BBIQ into their player selections. The warriors could run their offense after a couple days of practice.

Giles looked good on D and will thrive with Bogi in the dribble hand off and pick and roll.
