We lose the bidding war against Boston for davis guarantee you that.

I would just low ball the spurs for kawhi center piece on Ingram + deng + picks + zubac
I can totally see Kawhi okay with being a clipper as well since its LA, I dont want that happening

Then next summer the lakers will have another max space to try to pry KD or Klay from the warriors.
If not go after a guy like butler if he is available.

meh, we lose the bidding war, we still have lebron, kawhi, all the kids, as opposed to lebron, kawhi, fewer kids

we get kawhi, there is no more room for klay/KD/whoever

There is room if kawhi opts-in. Next summer : KCP + Rondo + Cap Increase = 12+9+7 = about 38M
Just a question, you would not do a Ingram + Deng for Kawhi?

i'd rather do deng + FRP for an expiring, keep ingram and then sign have kawhi and ingram

There is also a chance Kawhi doesnt come, and you wouldnt have more space to sign another max if you dont trade.
At the end of the day, I support what ever Maginka do.

They're likely to beat any team unless some luck strikes. Personally, I hope someone convinced Cousins to sabotage the Warriors from the inside. He likely won't be able to contribute much until late in the season, perfect timing to ruin their team chemistry.

I'd do this, albeit reluctantly.

Walker - Leonard- Lebron - Kuzma - Kaminsky as a lineup is pretty damn good.

Lonzo and Kuz and a 1st for Lillard? I'd do it if Kuz wasn't included.

Don't know the validity of the poster though

Spurs dont want Lonzo. They need to add another team to the mix for a 3 way trade.

Spurs/Lakers/Suns

Lakers send: Ingram,Lonzo,Hart,Zubac & Draft picks
Lakers get: Kawhi

Spurs send: Kawhi
Spurs get: Ingram,Hart,Zubac,T.Chandler Lakers draft picks + Suns 1st draft pick

Suns send: T.Chandler + 1st Draft pick
Suns get: Lonzo

Something like this

Something like this close? Tried to keep Hart out of the deal. But With all your signings, there's no way a deal for Kawhi works financially without Hart included. Is Caruso under contract, if he is then we could remove Hart.

Denver Trades: Darrell Arthur(expiring), 2019 1st(unprotected), Juancho Hernangomez
Receive: Lonzo Ball

Spurs Trade: Kawhi Leonard
Receive: Ingram, Zubac, Hart, Hernangomez, Arthur(Expiring) Lakers 1st(unprotected), Denver 1st (unprotected)

Lakers Trade: Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Ivica Zubac, Josh Hart, 1st rd pick
Receive: Kawhi Leonard

There's no reason for us to up our offer... I assume our best offer was Ingram and a Pick for Kawhi and Deng for filler...

Nobody has even remotely put up a player comparable to Ingram, so no reason to up the offer... I might include Svi to get the deal done, but there's no way in hell they get more than 1 of Ingram Ball or Kuz... And if I'm giving up Ingram, that's all they get...

I'm cool waiting for next summer, when Kawhi, Klay Thompson, Jimmy Butler and a more recovered Cousins should hit the market.

Or it sounds like the gloves are coming off on the Timberwolves... Maybe we can work a deal for Towns instead of Kawhi, and maybe still be able to sign one of those guys next year...

So no, we're not going all-in to trade for Kawhi tomorrow.

orlando, is interested in Isiah.....

trade, lonzo, Isiah (s&T), zubac, 2019 unprotected frp..... for vucevic, ross, and mo bamba.

vucevic, will be great off the bench... while we have a great center to work with in the future, in mo bamba.

if that doesnt work.... trade lonzo, Isiah (s&t), zubac, 2019 frp.... for mo bamba and ross.

.... and trade deng for melo.... okc needs help with getting under their luxury taxes immediately!... even if he doesn't get playing time.... we are ready for 2019. Also, Lebron will get the best out of Melo.

Trade two cornerstones of this franchise for Mo Bamba? Hell no. Wilson Chandler set the price for Deng and that's 2 FRP. Rather use that as they'd be in the 20s

As the dust is settling we've reshaped the team without a doubt. No doubt we want Leonard either. I think Ingram will be the piece moved to do that a well. Keeping him with Bron and Leonard makes no sense and would stunt his potential significantly. Keeping Ball makes more sense in the short term. That, and it sounds like he's not that valuable on the trade market anyway.

I'm hoping that we can figure out a way to get Leonard and a starting caliber center in that deal as well. Maybe a multi-team trade is the ticket.

Nope only one.... Lonzo.

They get zubac, Deng, 2019 frp and Isiah too. They give up Ross, vucevic, and mo bamba

And still not worth it. You do not give up Lonzo for worse Clint Capela

Would anyone consider

Deng, Ingram, 2019 1st (Top 5 Protected) for Butler?

Or Deng, Kuzma, 1st for Butler?

I would absolutely consider it.
