Re: NBA Free Agency
Still a lot of good players out there and not much money left.
Jabari Parker, Marcus Smart, Harrell, Capela, Isiah Thomas, even Brook Lopez should find a taker as a stretch 5.
I assume bucks or clips would match MLE offer for Harrel and Parker, right?

Re: NBA Free Agency
Brook Lopez seems like a guy who would fit in great off the bench in Houston. They Could re-sign Capela to be the rim running player but Lopez will help spread the court for ISO ball. Take a big out of the lane.

His newfound ability to shoot the three has certainly allowed him to stay somewhat relevant, but he is just so, SO bad defensively, and with Houston losing Ariza, they are running out of good defensive players. They would get shredded with Lopez on the floor.

so can wizards compete with boston this year with our new additions in free agency? Boston is still the cream of the crop as far as east coast is concerned? any thoughts? Can bost match up with Howard, wall, beal? will irving be back to himself or can he make it through teh season?
Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

Wizards have a nice collection of talent. Think Celtics matchup well. Feel good about East if Hayward and Kyrie can stay healthy

I think we have way too much firepower and depth for the Wizards.

Yeah. I would honestly be surprised if the Wizards even took a game from us in a playoff series.

There's a small little nonexistent rumor floating around that Orlando offered Smart a contract which he's accepted....first of all I don't believe it especially with the IT news, but just wanted to see if any of you guys heard anything which could dead the rumor?

The Magic can only offer the non taxpayer MLE, which is 8.6m starting. If he was going to sign for that, he'd have signed with us already, and if he did, we would 100% match as it would be perfect for us keeping us under the tax limit and avoiding the repeater tax.
So, true or not, doesn't matter, there is 0% chance he is retained by the magic.

Re: NBA Free Agency
It's really funny watching people trying to rationalize the 76ers' offseason. People are seriously saying that Amir Johnson is a great signing for them, with Adi Joseph going as far to say that Amir is "excellent":
It's hilarious. Amir is a good locker room guy. That's all he is at this point of his career. The dude can barely even move anymore. There is a reason why he didn't even see the floor against us in the playoffs.

Eh, we essentially have a better version of Crawford in Rozier. As for West, he would have been a nice addition of we lost Baynes, but with Baynes back in tow, West would have no use here. As for Beasley? We have Morris.
There really aren't any players on the FA market that I'm interested in at this point. Just re-sign Smart and call it a day.

Would never, ever happen. His ego wouldn't allow it, not to mention the fact that he isn't exactly the best fit here anymore. Thomas was great on the 2016 and 2017 teams because he was the only guy on the team who could consistently create his own shot. That's not the case anymore. He is a very, very tough player to fit on a contender.

Re: NBA Free Agency
Sixers still have a great shot at Kawhi. Let's not get our hopes too high of them failing yet.
