Soooo where is the offer?
If a team is serious the best strategy is to wait for the moratorium to end before you submit the offer.

Kings fan here coming in peace. I'm assuming the Kings will be aggressive with their offer and can offer about 4 years $80 million if they waive Nigel Hayes and could likely offer a max if they stretched Shumpert.

Sounds like those offers may be too rich for the Bulls to match?

God I hope so. You guys can have him at 20 mil per year. Maybe we can work out a sign and trade though. You guys can have Lavine if we can have Fox and Hield. Deal?

Let's pursue a sign and trade. Does Zach for Top 10 protected 1st round draft pick, Buddy Hield, Justin Jackson, Harry Giles + filler like Iman Shumpert and Kosta Koufos work? Can we work De'Aaron Fox into this deal as well? I mean this is Zach Lavine we're talking about... the SG of their dreams.

Kings counter with Justin Jackson, Skal Labissiere, Iman Shumpert, and 2 2nds.

I'm assuming you're joking. The Kings want LaVine to play in the backcourt along side Fox and Buddy as super 6th man. After the Kings offering George Hill $19 million per year last year I can see them easily offering $20 to LaVine. The ball will be in the Bulls court to match. I'd also assume they're open to S&T but it wouldn't include any of the young core. You could have Jackson, Labissierre, Shumpert's expiring and some 2nd's but nothing beyond that. We'd just wait to see if you'd eat up your space to match at $20/per.

Bulls aren't matching $20. Hopefully they don't match $17. Have fun with him.

Lol Sacramento knows that Zach is a young world class athlete with unlimited potential and great scoring prowess. Sacramento understands that Zach and Devin Booker are basically the same player, and that Zach is a bargain at 20 mil per year for four years since Booker got max money for 5. We could easily match. Zach is so talented, etc.

I am absolutely joking. Jackson, Skal, Shump and 2nds would get it done if I was at the wheel. Zach IS a sixth man. But a sixth man doesn't deserve 20 mil per year. Not even a Sixth Man of the Year deserves that kind of cash. You save the 20 mil per season for the starters... at the very least.

Ralph is the ultimate insider when it comes to these things. I believe Ralph when he says we will or won't do something. I'm discouraged by the fact that the FO is this high on Zach. He's a premium prospect but you don't give a draft pick type player 20 mil per year. If Zach is matched, I'll be hoping that he lives up to the contract. Betcha Zach falls far short of providing that kind of value though.

I've come to the point that I wouldn't mind seeing him walk. At this stage in the rebuild it's too early to be committing salary to players of uncertain value.

I have a feeling the Bulls will match a 20M per year offer. It would be another PR nightmare if they don’t.

I don't even think it's really about how high garpax is on lavine, they don't want to lose a asset for nothing. They likely rather match him, and flip him down the line for more assets.

I'm not matching at 20 mil

17.25 is as high as I'll go.

I just want to be ready when AD goes on the trade block.
