Was he there when the nets traded for KG? If so there is no hope for our franchise under Tom Gores.

He a college scout dudes. He'll likely be the director of amateur scouting here but with a assistant GM title. He didn't make the KG trade. Hell he probably hated it as it gave away draft picks.

Re: Pistons Hire Gregg Polinskiy as Director of Player Personnel
As easy as it is to say the front office of the Nets totally sucked (and gifted Ainge way too many picks), they also had the worst owner who was impatient and didn't understand the value of picks. So if you're GM and he's the boss, you do what he says.

In his new role, Polinsky he will oversee the scouting department and report to senior adviser Ed Stefanski. The two worked together previously with the Brooklyn Nets.
Stefanski continues to add pieces to the front office, after hiring Malik Rose as an assistant general manager last week. Pat Garrity looks to be a holdover from the previous regime as another of the assistant GMs, as he’s still with the Pistons in Summer League, along with Andrew Loomis.

So Polinsky is scouting, Rose as player development means Garrity/Loomis is doing the analytics?

Re: Pistons Hire Gregg Polinskiy as Director of Player Personnel
Anybody else get the feeling we're becoming the Sacramento Kings?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Kinda but I still haven’t seen anything bad out of Stefanski and company to warrant that. Gores definitely has a ignorant basketball mind like they do in Sac Town though
