Absolutely not. He would never offer up more assets for that specific reason. Blasphemy.

Could you go back to main street in ghost town Maine? Ask pop what's up !?

And it would be funny/creepy if Pop was still sitting there in the same spot.

I'm pretty sure I know where he hangs out now, he likes wine. Locals seem used to his presence in certain shops.

More of the usual:

Boston hasn't included Jaylen Brown, sources say. As I wrote here, it might make more sense to offer Kyrie Irving or Gordon Hayward before Brown, but I don't see either happening. Boston is confident it can re-sign Irving despite chatter -- credible chatter -- that Irving and Jimmy Butler would like to play together, per league sources. They've earned such confidence.

Boston rarely cares about optics, but it must know how it would look to trade Hayward -- star free-agent acquisition, longtime Brad Stevens favorite -- coming off a traumatic leg injury.

Credible chatter?

I find it amazing the media runs off with the Irving/Butler thing but always forget to mention that Irving/Hayward tried to pair up in Cleveland before Lebron came back from Miami. But lets ignore that, since of course the birthday twins and current teammates probably don't even like each other much, right?

It's as if the media is dying to get Irving and big names in general in New York and dorky virgin fans online run off with it along with the NY Post. Irving will be off to the Nets with Bozo the Clown in a week. Or the Knicks since he once complimented Kristap Porzingis. Since when a great player says another great player is great, it automatically means they want to pair up on the same team and get married.

Paul George is from LA. He was dying to live his boyhood dream of playing in LA.......

Thank you for mentioning the part of Kyrie wanting to team up with Hayward. Also, considering the fact that the news of Kyrie/Butler supposedly wanting to team up in NY came from Chicago, that's definitely a leak from Butler's camp as opposed to Kyrie's or the Celtics. We'll see how much legs this actually gains, but I'm not too worried.

Kawhi is similar to KG injury wise. Celtics were all hush hush but knew KG would never be the same and he never was. Mark my words and remember this post guys. Kawhi will not be the same player. He is mentally weak. As much as we hate them not one single top nba player would act like a vagina on period. Irving flat out publically said like a man when he demanded a trade. This weirdo probably sits on a first plane ride by himself and rest of teamates up back.

This thread should be closed to show we really dont give a **** about kawhi leonard.

Maybe he is butt hurt Celtics don’t wanna give up top dogs for him. Watch, as soon as he notices that a team is willing to gut a team for him he will go there. **** clown

I can understand that if you feel Kyrie is a flight risk however that seems like a completely unbalanced roster. 4 high end wings, is hard to see how they all play together. Brad can pull it off but I'm wondering how that roster fits

Right? What's the point of paying for a 1 year flight risk of Kawhi if you don't even have the assets to make a run at a championship.

Rozier
Hayward/Brown
Tatum
Kawhi
Horford

We'd be vastly better off trading Brown and keeping Irving if we were going to do it to make a run

Irving
Hayward
Tatum
Kawhi
Horford

That's at least 2 dead lock all-stars, Hayward might need the first few months before he plays at all-star level. And then Horford as well as hopefully Tatum if he develops tremendously would be two close to all-star level players.

We need AT LEAST that much starting lineup talent if we're going to honestly try and matchup against a Curry/KD/Klay/Green/Cousins starting 5. Which honestly is so absurd there's no reason for us to even make a Kawhi trade and go for it all anymore. Probably in our best interest to wait another year, hope we resign our guys and maybe Klay or KD leaves GS. At the very least Cousins will be gone.

Maybe they know they are unlikely to keep Kyrie, but aren't willing to give up their longer term and cheaper asset in Jaylen Brown.

I just kind of feel, for every one bit of "they can't keep Kyrie" feeling they must have, it must be tenfold for not being able to keep Kawhi.

For now GS seems to have shut the door on this year too. Our best bet is to bid our time.

Kyrie is injury prone as **** though, if there's any star in the NBA who needs to sign for the max because he might not be able to play by 28. Feel like with him he's the one all-star more than any of them that would need to really think hard about turning down years on a max contract.

The best part about Lifshatz is that he still maintains an unbelievable level of arrogance when people call him out on his BS. Look at his reactions to people in the comments. When one person asked who his source was, the douche literally said "your mom." And fellas: this is a PROFESSIONAL.

One thing you do NOT do in the media is make stuff up or post stuff from non-credible sources. That is journalistic suicide right there. Now I understand that Lifshatz is not a journalist, but he is completely destroying any chance he has of moving up in the industry with his steadfast BS that he spews with no conscience.

So on sons of Sam horn, there used to be a filter where if you spelled Clay Buchholz incorrectly, it would edit it to "I am a dumbass". I think it's time we did the same for anyone seriously posting Lifshatz tweets.

I love the brave face Lakers have put on. We should all believe that soon to be 34 year old James is cool waiting a year, playing with kids, Lance and Rondo and throw away one of the few great years he has left. Cool story.

Lebron's move to LAL isn't all about titles it has to do with Kutch Sports as well. Lebron has titles what he hasn't had until know was a front office that was completely on board with how he wants to do business. The first more the Lakers make after signing Lebron is sign Caldwell Pope to a one year extension, Klutch Sports client who they had convinced to walk away from a 80 mil dollars and sign with the Lakers on a one year 18 mil dollar deal.

James is going to want to win but he isn't going to want to see all these young guys and draft picks dealt off when he can get help in FA next season and possibly steal a client or two.
