France has just too much firepower... I think they are the clear favorite now to win it all.

Uruguay has a great deal of firepower of their own.

They won't let France get on the counter as easily as Argentina allowed.

Can they move this game to Saturday instead? damn work!

Well with Cavani out I think it Uruguay's chances are minimal.

Cavani practiced on Thursday but whether he plays is still TBD. If it's not safe for him to play then he will not start, Uruguay typically doesn't play a player if they are risking the player's health. If Cavani doesn't start, then I can see him playing the final 20 min if Uruguay is down.

I think Uruguay will win this either 2-1 or 1-0...I feel like Uruguay will basically play a 4-5-1 with Stuani basically part of the midfield and Suarez up top trying to hold up play. I don't think Uruguay will be able to score in build up play because of how deep they'll be. I believe the only way Uruguay scores is by set piece and/or a mistake by France's backline and Suarez takes advantage.

I see France becoming extremely impatient and frustrated at their inability to break down Uruguay's lines. I definitely don't see any French player having enough space to run full speed in a dangerous area at any point in the game. Once again I think Torreira is the key for this game because he needs to shut down any dangerous passes or shots by Pogba and Griezmann.

Overall it should be a great game.

Yeah I don’t trust any injury news regarding Uruguay players. I read it would be a miracle if Cavani played against France. But I dunno if that’s just smoke. Gimenez was supposed to be out of the World Cup too.

Cavani is not starting. I hope Uruguay still wins though but the French team is getting in top shape.

Cavani our for sure

Big loss for a team that basically features a fantastic back line and a phenomenal front pairing without much in between. To take from those 2 strengths is big.

Still though, with Godin and Gimenez owning the box as they have, all it could take is 1

Is FIFA on drugs? An American Ref for an England gm

and now an Argentinian ref in a URU v FRA gm?

No Cavani, no chance. But I'd have bet on France even if he was healthy.
hoping for a great match
