Yeah he might be a double double machine but he's inefficient, has a lack of leadership skills, poor defender and won't accept ultimately he's a bench player. Yes on the Magic he might be one of the better players but that's the issue, he's entitled and feels as if he is untouchable.
Magic drafted a C, have another project/young C and Biz. Magic should find a way to make sure Bamba/Birch get enough minutes to grow and improve while Biz get's spot minutes.
For me I have a differing logic on the reason as to why Vučević must be traded. He was not fools' gold to me; as his stat line proved he was both Orlando's best offensive AND best defensive player. I know he fails the eye test, and I get that. But rim protection actually is not that valuable (it saves maybe 3 shot attempts per game).
I believe Vučević must be traded because he has been trained on how to not win. It is sad for him (and the Magic). But he needs a fair chance and that must be on another team. There are load of teams needing a top-15 Center. And he is an expiring contract to boot. For me Vučević is imminently tradable for some sort of a quality asset. At maybe 80¢ on the dollar. Perhaps a non-lottery first from a championship contending team. For example, Vučević would be a huge upgrade over Valančiūnas on the Raptors run. Orlando has no need for Valančiūnas, so a third team would need to be involved. But this is a type of Dec. - Feb. trade I can imagine for Vučević.
