Yep that got me triggered. Vesely was a lazy bum who didn't want to put in the work to be a good NBA player. Wall absolutely had nothing to do with Vesely busting.
Agree 100%. Vesely was a coward with no discernible basketball skills. He either had to bulk up to become a center, or develop some skills so he could play PF. He did neither. He had nobody to blame but himself.
Interestingly, the way the league has shifted to more mobile centers, and with the way Vesely has finally filled out, he might actually be a useful role player now.
I totally disagree with you and Dat.
Vesely was drafted 6 overall. He had a lot of skills mainly athleticism. Since you love stats so much why don't you look at box plus-minus with Jan vesely.on the court.
The Wizards did not insist on making vesely go from a small forward slash power forward to a center until they had Ariza and they already had Webster. If I recall correctly they also had Singleton and Booker on the team.
They acquired veteran players and forced him out of a position and out of the league.
The last few games of the 2011 season Seraphin and Vesely started. The Wizards went undefeated for several of those games. Those players had futures and should have been traded once the Wizards insured they would no longer get the playing time and the commitment to their careers that they deserved.
Arguing with you guys and battling my stupid ass autocorrect it's not worth it. You can tag team and join in but you're just as wrong as Dat is nate.
Calling a player a coward is subjective. So is calling that player lazy.
Randy Wittman was coach. He was terrible with rookies. In so Wizards style that is when all rookies and young players were kicked to the curb in favor of veterans. Okafor and Ariza were acquired. That is when Vesely lost all hope
When there are so many roster spaces and so little minutes certain players are frozen out of the roster sort of like Tomas satoransky is right now with Austin Rivers on the team.
But guys like you who know so much about the cap have no clue when it comes to chemistry and what's going to happen down the road.
