Seattle doesn't deserve that kind of torture.

Vivek wouldnt have been the owner. Dude needs to hire actual basketball people and get out of their way. Not even sure Vlade is behind this move because now you remember 1 2 3 NICK ROCKS

If Lavine is worth 4/$80M then Marcus Smart is worth the MAX.

So they didn't want to disrupt their wing core for Doncic, but are willing to do so for Lavine (at a much higher price)? Yes that sounds like the Kings (sorry Kings fans).

Can anybody guess what the Kings' logic is here?
I know you sometimes have to offer high for RFAs but wow.

Reminds me of when the Suns tried to max Eric Gordon I was so happy when NO matched. Hope for the sake of Kings fans the Bulls match.
I mean they are about to max Booker and he's not a much better prospect (If at all) than Gordon was.

Heck, healthy Lavine = Booker

I’m not a fan of any of the teams that those guys play for, but Booker is a legit young star. For his age, his mix of volume scoring and efficiency puts him in rare company. A 20-30 game hotstreak out of AG doesn’t change the fact that he’s been a mediocre player since he entered the league, and Lavine was an offense-only players whose offense cratered this past season.

Lavine is more Wiggins (volume scorer without the efficiency to justify the volume) than Booker, especially now that he’s got the massively overpaid association. Acting like either of those guys are in the same stratosphere as Booker is disingenuous. AG at least has a ton of upside due to his size/athleticism/defense, but Lavine projects as a 6th man. Booker projects as (and already is) a go-to scoring star and lights out shooter who is also a legit playmaker.

Evan turner and deng have similar contracts...
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Blah, not a big fan of LaVine. He seems like a glorified J.R. Smith. Him jacking up so many shots is just going to screw with the young guys' development.

The incompetence of some of the league's front offices never ceases to amaze. Watch the Bulls match.

This is exactly why there's no parity in the NBA. You have stupid GMs making moves like these all the time.

All Sac had to do with be patient and develop their young core, then use cap space to try to lure a star and they're potentially contenders if all goes well. But they shoot themselves in the foot.

Booker is an offense only player as well and yes Lavine's efficiency went to cap this season after the injury. And of course that's a big question, but Booker hasn't had as efficient of a season as Lavine did in 16-17.

And Booker isn't really a playmaker for others. At least not an efficient one.

$20 million a year for Zach Lavine?

It's funny but then I realize the rockets are paying Ryan Anderson the same money to waste away on the bench.
