I was thinking the same thing, but I'm not sure if our front office is that clever.

To me it feels like the Kings think they're playing chess while in reality it's a tic-tac-toe move.

The poll on our forum is currently 68% don't match.

When it comes to NBA contracts, do the opposite of whatever Vlade does. Yuck.

Eh, could be a good gamble. If he can get healthy again he's at Devin Bookers level

That must assume that he is hurt often, because when healthy he's shown that he is worth more than $5m/year.

This is worst contract of this summer. I do say this is not on the same level as Deng or Mozgov, but who ever takes LaVine on that price is over paying 5M.

Bulls will be ruined for the next 4 years if they match. LaVine is a good scorer, but that's all. He can't pass, his basketball IQ is very low, he makes his team mates lousier, he has been worst defender on every team that he has been on and finally, he has been in NBA 4 years and his game hasn't improved one bit. Why would anyone think his game will improve in the future? Players should take huge leaps in their development on these years LaVine haven't.

LaVine is useful as a bench scorer, sure some of them are really good like Lou Williams, but maximum you should pay LaVine is somewhere 15M, but honestly I wouldn't pay him nothing over 12M. People might think I hate him, not really I just don't have any respect on his game. He is a NBA caliber player and I would even say he could be important bench player in a championship team, but he is not a starter on a winning team and he is getting paid as a starter.

If Bulls don't sign him they might have room for two max contracts next summer or 2020, but with this they will lose one of these max contracts. Would you rather have Irving, Butler or some other superstar or LaVine. It seems Bulls rather have LaVine if they take this contract.

Bulls will probably match saving Vlade from another mistake.

A guy like Marcus Smart, who can actually play basketball, can't get a call from anybody, but I guy who does nothing to help his team gets 80 million. Disheartening.

SMH. I really hope whichever team doesn't get him doesn't throw a similarly dumb offer at Jabari. It was just starting to look like we didn't have to overpay.

It doesnt make any sense unless the plan is to make Chicago match.
He's is an awful fit next to Fox, Hield or Bogdanovic, and I'd rather have any of them before Lavine on my team.
As a Bulls fan I pray we dont match.

You're overrating Marcus Smart substantially.

Flopping and thinking you have offensive ability when you're actually worse than trash doesn't equate to "can actually play basketball".

Yeah Sean Marks is Red Auerbach compared to Vlade.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

I guess Im in the vast minority on this one. I actually like it for SAC. Lets be honest SAC isnt a big time Free agent destination so I dont really see them being a threat to spend that money on any free agents any time soon. After this year it will only be their young guys on contracts and Fox wont be getting an extension for 3 more years. So by the time they will need money to spend on their own guys, Lavine's contract is going to be almost over. So who exactly are they going to spend that money on? Big 1 year contracts on older guys that would take PT from their young guys? Zach fits age wise and they would be a crazy athletic team as well.

They can go with a lineup of

Fox
Lavine
Bogdan
Bagley
Giles

With Buddy, Jackson, WCS and Skal off the bench. The offer makes sense to me. And again if he ends up not being worth it, are they really going to be missing out on guys because of that 20 mil a year tied up to Lavine?
