"The stone that the builder refuse...."

Furkan "Little Manu" Korkmaz is 19-29 (66%) from 2pt range this season. Nose for the ball, averaging 6.5rbs. Four assists. Love this kid.

Three point shooting has been terrible (22%), the skill for which he's most notable.

Dwayne Bacon > Malik Monk?, Dillon Brooks > Wade Baldwin!, Malcolm Brogdon > Rashard Vaughn, Marquese Chriss > Dragan Bender, Kyle Kuzma > Lonzo Ball, Holmes > Okafor, Skal Labissiere > Georgios Papagiannis. That second shot is often better than the first!

Furkan Korkmaz > Markelle Fultz??? ;-)

I like them both. Miles Bridges in '17! (or Michael Porter, or Mohammed Bamba or Kevin Knox...)

I wasn't a fan of the Korkmaz pick, with Skal still on the board, but I'm hoping this guy can pick up about 20 lbs of good weight, so he can get on the court. I'd love to see how he looks as the SG, with that length, out there with Simmons, Covington and Embiid.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

what's his wingspan, he doesnt have the lateral quickness t be a decent defender right? On offense though with his pure shot, he could be a poor JJ Redick out there , just needs the same motor off the ball

I don't know what his wingspan is, but it looks like he grew taller than the 6'7 he was listed at draft time. May be just perception, because he's so skinny.

Me neither. I wanted Dejounte Murray. Thought Furkan was Hezonja Part II. Now, I can't wait to see him get some minutes. I'm sold. His game is pretty well-rounded, and pretty creative.

I think of him as House money. I don’t play the what if game with picks this late in the draft. Skal was a polarizing prospect that has since looked much better than his draft slot, but previous similar players have fallen off the end of the Earth like Perry Jones, who was very analogous to Skal.

Korkmaz is a prospect in the purest sense of the word. He isn’t ready, and probably should have stayed in Europe. My success criteria for the 24th and 26th picks that year is that one of them needs to turn into a solid rotation player for us.

I think that early returns have been good on TLC and he is likely to become that. Now Korkmaz is just gravy. I agree that he needs to physically mature.

#26 is where raw players like Hezonja should be drafted.

He’s definitely thin for an nba player.

I hope he gets some minutes to run with our starters. Hard to expect a guy to shoot lights out when he comes on cold in garbage time.

Fun fact: Furkan has played before the 4th quarter in exactly 1 NBA basketball game.

After his injury and struggles last year, I don’t think breaking the rotation is likely this year either. Just making the roster and showing improvement when he gets chances would be a good goal. Maybe play well enough to force coach to give him 10 mpg.

He's still too thin, but to me he appears to be filling out a bit, albeit slowly. Watching him last night he looked like he tacked on about 10-15 lbs since the end of the season.

What I like in last night’s preseason game
- improved ball handling. Stood out the most for me
- ability to finish around the rim with his floaters
- shades of hedo turkoglu with his ISO
- mature decision making (when to pass, shoot of drive)

I guess if he can duplicate something along the lines of a Marco Bellineli then he will be alright. He just looks extremely slow out there. Could be me though. Very nice shooting night. Step back jumpers? Ewww kork ewww

Just pump that value up. Could be important for a trade.
