All the more reason to find defensive minded players. It's more the mentality than the wingspan.

However no statistical analyses going to be able to convince me that a longer wingspan doesn't help you get more steals, blocks, and rebounds, which equals possessions.

In other words, length is fine if everything else is held constant, but the #1 thing you need is intense, motivated defenders that are able to keep the feet moving all game. This is a reason to like Stanley... he gets at it. Now teach him to shoot. :-(
