Maryland's athletic program seems to be in complete dysfunction right now. Not just on the field with the money sports (FB, MBB) but also internally. The Jordan McNair investigation, external and internal, could get ugly if it's not some kind of genetic condition. I think adding the Temple AD would have made more sense so he could basically clean house. Maybe that's what Evans is going to do, bring in his own people. That's something I guess he couldn't have done as an interim AD.

Well how do you like that. The basketball team does a fairly good job at producing solid NBA talent tbh. Just frustrating that it doesn't translate on court.

I refuse to believe that about Damonte. Being charged and being guilty is two different things. In 2014 one person lied out right and two other women at a school had me up on charges that I was not guilty of. Totally bogus charge.

I did get angry and I'm sure those people were scared of me after I cursed. But one day they're going to have to answer to Jesus. I went through all kind of court and lost custody of my kids who I have not seen in 4 years over threats that were never made.

God is good all the time. My kids are reasonably well adjusted and still call me. I am the one who still handles things when there is a serious problems that mother will not deal with. I learned to have more self-control and I went through hell over those charges. My dad died in 2014 after seeing what I went through part of the way. The good news is he and I were very close and all that did was make us closer.

From what I know about Damonte I do not believe this.

Some women will lie especially on an athlete and especially when the woman has been spurned.

As far as the Diamond Stone thing goes, I have a totally different feeling. That is the kind of thing that gets coaches fired. Maybe that kids parents got paid.

The terrible part is that Diamond wasn't even that good of a player and he only stayed around Maryland a minute. He made a horrible decision to go pro.

In retrospect I think Jordan Williams was even better than Diamond Stone and he didn't make it either.

I'm guessing the investigation has a lot to do with Under Armor and AAU dealings - the things that Gary Williams did his best to avoid dealing with.

It was not mentioned in this article. There was another comment he made about Turge but I can't find it. Either way, it's no big deal. What is a big deal is Turge has to win this season.

Brenda has her flaws as a coach but overall, she's the anti-Turgeon.

She is indeed "in it to win it".
