It is all about him. I thought he was a team player. Apparently not. He has the me attitude. Let him go to the sixers.Celtics are all about the team or should be.

Exactly. We are contenders without him and if Tatum is as good as we all think he is, then this could be the group that raises another banner

Looks like the spurs wouldn't move if they don't get what they want. What they consider a fair package.

Celtics Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum

Sixers Markelle Fultz, Dario Saric

Lakers Brandon Ingram etc.

For Kawhi I’d imagine it’s because he’d have no competition on the wings and be the unquestioned alpha scorer. Neither would be the case here

Why I doubt all those reports and speculation is because he could stay with the Spurs and be the alpha scorer and the man and all that jazz.

Thats how most trade packages work for this.

Celtics give up: the farm
Sixers give up: pizzas and soda

Celtics can't beat any offer from any team. All they are waiting for is his health, is he healthy and how open is he to re-signing. In the anything is possible documentary, the celtics/Wyc said it took two weeks to complete the Kevin Garnett deal.

They did everything to keep Rajon Rondo out of the deal. They even went as far as to give Minnesota a ultimatum this is our final offer, call us by 3pm with your answer. They wolves owner called wyc and agreed to the deal. Maybe that is what is happening now. Celtics are doing everything to keep Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown out of the trade.

Sixers aren’t selling low on Fultz. That’s why they aren’t including him. It’s very hard to give up on such a high pick who shown he can beat players off the dribble. Fultz in limited time averaged 7 points/4 rebounds/3 assist in 18 minutes.

Ingram was completely lost his 1st season. He averaged l like 9.5 points 3 rebounds 2 assists on 28 minutes of play

Brown averaged 6 points 1 assist 3 rebounds in his first season playing 17 minutes.

Will see how Fultz does the second year.

Many Celtics fans were clearly frustrated with Brown his first season. He fell out of the rotation for a bit as well. And he barely played against the bulls after they went down 0-2 Remember that?

Al Jefferson was the key to the Garnett trade. He was this up and coming 22 year old coming off a very good second half of the 2006-2007 season where he averaged closed to 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Ainge is trying to include a player (rozier) the spurs have no need for even with Tony Parker leaving. Along with future trade picks for upcoming weak nba 2019 draft which make not net the spurs any true talent.

I watched the documentary a few days ago on NBC Sports Boston. It was good. Danny Ainge has to include Jaylen Brown. You can't ask the spurs to give you their star player when the main piece of what is being offered is one year starter in Terry Rozier, Kings pick( Unknown) Memphis pick (Unknown). Marcus Morris etc is to match salary really. Celtics can't take all their starters/good players off the table and expect the spurs to say yes.

Star players at a minimum are traded for one promising young player ie Jaylen Brown and a pick plus fillers. That gets it done. Terry Rozier is not even enough for one year of Kawhi Leonard.

Bottom line in this discussion is that Leonard quit on last year's Spurs team...Either he is a head case or worse...And the chances are that he would sign somewhere else....He has shown very little interest or desire to want to be a part of the Celtic tradition.... I really can't see why anyone here is so keen on getting him for just one year...and yes, I would have loved to get this guy a couple of seasons ago...but I'd rather keep what we already have in place...

The only way I see Danny doing a deal with the Spurs would be to swap Kyrie for him....And that only occurs if Ainge has the sense that Irving will be resigning somewhere else....The only way I see a deal going down at this point is for a player who is committed to play here long term...and has the balls to say so...That's the best way to get my endorsement on any summer block buster deal that has been mentioned so far...JMO
