I was close.

The 2019 2nd will definitely be the lowest of the three.

I guess the BKN/NYK least favorable will be least favorable than The Magic's own. We will see though.

If that's the route the Magic take, then who's the candidate?

The fact that you truly believe he was brought in to teach the rookie is just asinine

I understand why so many are keen to see the back of Vuc but I really think he may be used (like Ross) as an expiring deal to give the Magic more salary flexibility. If that is the case then the only trade options would be for someone who doesn’t add salary beyond next summer.

If Grant plays well then the Magic have his RFA rights. That couldn’t be said for any of the free agent pgs out there.

The two seconds are in drafts that the Magic have multiple seconds in. They’re already looking at a two way deal for one of the second rounders they picked this year and you can only have so many players on your roster.

Personally, I think one second would have been enough but I’m not going to get annoyed about a second round pick.

this is exactly how I feel.

Does the team think Grant is a starter? Ridiculous. There was no reason to move Biyombo right this second.

Holy fawk you guys seriously.

NO REASON TO MOVE BIYOMBO RIGHT THIS SECOND? DID I READ THIS RIGHT?!

When is it ever a good time to move one of the worst contracts in the league?

I look at it like this now that the picks are involved.

Charlotte paid 2 million (difference between Mosgov and Biyombo contracts) for 2 SRP’s that we acquired from other teams which in its self is meh and neautral value.

We simply swapped bad contracts in Biyombo and Mosgov which have identical value and both expire the same year to acquire a PG we were interested in trying out which fills an IMEDIATE NEED FOR FREE. He’s not an exciting name, but is an expiring and comes with bird rights.

I’m genuinely baffled on what you guys truly expected in any Biyombo trade, actually quite embarrassing.

Mozy is a work horse on defense and on offense he can set picks, grab offensive rebounds, roll hard to the rim and can pass. Also has playoff experience.

The Mozgov-Biyombo trade basically is a wash financially and on the court, factoring in age I'd probably have kept Biyombo but in the end I don't really care. What I don't understand is swapping two 2nd rounders for Grant.

For me I see this inverted. The Magic traded two 2nd-round picks for Jerian Grant, and to make that happen, Biyimbo was swapped for Mozgov.

Grant is a clear upside player and looks to have a solid career as a big-minutes backup at the PG slot, who can play emergency starter slots. In other words, he is the next Augustin.

Indeed the press quotes sounded like this was all about Grant:
“We’re excited to acquire both players and obviously we’ve been considering how to best address our point guard position," Magic President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman said. "This trade fell into place for us. I think it’s a good move for all three teams."

"He’s still young and he’s a growing player and hopefully he can thrive with us," Weltman said about the new point guard addition. "He’s going to get an opportunity. He’s a good defender, he’s got size and he knows how to play.”

Another interesting point is that Orlando traded for a champion in Mozgov. He can provide leadership about "what it takes."

Isaac: "Moz, how do we win in the league?"

Mozgov: "Yeah, **** it, I don't know. Get lucky and play with LeBron."

Biyombo will be better in Charlotte with Kemba, similar to Raptors situation. Mozgov will be better here becouse he has some offensive ability.

In this one video he shows more offensive skills than Biyombo during his whole season. Mozgov even has a 3?!?!?! 0.222 % but still his mechanics look not that awful
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Birch is better than a third stringer. And he's better than Mozgov.
