Sure seems like this team has had a full season of injuries in a half a year. Lucky more haven't been major but man it would be nice to actually get healthy for the stretch run.

Couple other moves, too. From the other thread:

We were up 5.5 games at the All Star Break last year, and capitulated. At this point, all they can control is themselves. Keep playing good baseball, and it'll work out either through the division or the WC.

I think that experience taught them something as well. The leadership and chemistry on this team especially with Cain makes me believe they'll grind through it.

I seem to recall that the Cubs were struggling last season at the AS break. Yeah, they haven't fully hit their stride yet this season, but it's night and day compared to last season. Weren't they even under .500?

Agree with your point overall HR. Just hoping we're a different team this year. This is pretty impressive. This was a big series.

Avoid the post ASG slump like last year and I think we'll be fine, especially if stearns can make some shrewd moves for bullpen or IF help.
