Re: Center Situation
Who needs another center?
Rondo/Lonzo/Ingram/Kuzma/Lebron
How many centers can keep up with that?

Hell this helps Luke out anyway, a lot of times he played Lopez out of sympathy if you ask me. Now we have more versatility.

We don't have enough for Capela but Len and Monroe, I think they can be signed for the minimum

I'm tell you Wagner is going to get that starting spot. His game meshes too nicely with Lebron's.

I'm actually not opposed to this happening. Sounds exciting actually... but... its odd that of our 3 legitimate centers, none of them are proven starters. And of our forwards, is Kuz fit to be a small ball C?

Wagner and Zubac are each several months older than BI. They are not 18 year old kids. They are 21 and ready to contribute.
Wagner looks ready to go from day one. Zubac seems prepared for a breakout year. McGee can give a solid 10-15 minutes a game. With a rotation of McGee, Zubac, and Wagner, and LeBron playing small ball center for a few spot minutes if neeeded, we are fine at the 5.

Re: Center Situation
Yeah, I think we will be fine at the 5 spot. Wagner will play heavy minutes IMO because he is key to team spacing and that's the ideal big man next to LeBron (a guy who can pick and pop and hit wide open 3s). McGee 10-15 min to bolster our interior D and rebounding and also Zubac, he can have a great year next to LeBron. Capela is my pipedream but we lack the cap space to sign him, and in addition HOU can match any offer sheet from us.

Seems like the Warriors and Rockets are unloading old bigs. I think we match up fairly well with both of them in the front court.

Re: Center Situation
I'm praying Zubac isn't playing any significant minutes. I really don't see the fit next to Lebron. Zubac is not a lob threat, not a pick and pop player, slow as hell, extremely soft, etc. I honestly do not see the fascination with Zubac's game. It honestly seems like management is confused with regard to Zubac. He barely played even when we had no centers, we went out and signed Bogut instead of promoting him, we played Randle and Nance ahead of him at center... Poor kid must be confused by now. What has changed in a year, he suddenly fits?
I honestly think we'll see the resurrection of Deng this season.

Javale McGee is a better Hassan Whiteside at this point... He seems redundant.

Wagner actually talks a lot on defense. And he's an experienced 4 year player that's ready to contribute. If he sheds some of that baby fat he'll be the perfect type of center that LeBron likes playing with
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Re: Center Situation
It'll be McGee playing 10-15 MPG and then a combination of LeBron/Zubac/Wagner.
I can see lots of small line-ups playing this year. Even Kuzma at C.
However, still feels like the roster isn't finished. I hope it isn't.

MoWag can really be something if he continues to work on that body.
High IQ—was one of UMich’s defensive leaders calling out plays; he can find the open man in a defense
High energy and motor
Obviously very good shooting touch
Pretty good ball handling skills; could become a guy who can eventually handle the bad, drive to the basket, handle and make a pass
The question about him will be moving his feet on defense when switched out and/or recovering going to the rim
