Can Josh Jackson Start at PG?

Interesting tidbit there...

I would love to watch him playing PG. He just needs to improve his ball handling and slow down his game.

He has that PG mentality in him...he wants to create for others and himself and he can be more effective at that position because he is not a good shooter.

I've often thought it would be really ideal if he could play PG if he was going to be on the floor because of his inability to shoot. In may ways he reminds me of a SF version of Westbrook.

He's great at attacking...or rather, I think he can be great at it, despite how horrible he was to start the year going to the rim with a few defenders there and just throwing it up.

But there is just so much work to do. For one, if you attack the rim a lot, you need to hit your free throws, and he shoots 63% from the line. He really needs to at least get that up to 70-75.

Then he turned it over more than he assisted it, so he would need to hopefully at least get to a 2-1 ast/to ratio.

It's really going to be interesting to see how much he improves. I love his confidence and self awareness though. That's what makes him my favorite player

...because he seems real....he knows what he needs to work on and is going to do it and he's not too much above it or cocky to admit what he needs to work on and even talked about how much he enjoyed learning what he is bad at and needs to improve and being able to work at it.

Are you hoping Jackson can transform into Ben Simmons type PG? Would be great if that happens, Jackson would certainly need to bulk up a little for more for that though and improve his handles some as well (which he’s already working on reportedly).

It's going to be a crazy interesting season. I wish it would start like tomorrow! Less than 4 months to wait for game #1 ain't that bad though.

Josh handled the ball a lot toward the end of last year with Booker, and Warren out. His season turned around after he was benched and told to slow his roll, and became a focal point with the ball in his hands. Not saying he will definitely achieve pg honors, just that he had the ball in his hands attacking a lot toward the end of the year and he was good at it.
